rgcumming
The difficulty in changing the team is there isn't really anyone out there who could make a massive difference. Wasn't there tonight so can't comment on individuals. However, a third home defeat by May 4th doesn't bode well. Interested to see what spin the promotion put on the website match report. Worryingly none of the teams we have dropped points to are as strong as Newcastle. That could be a televised murder on May 21. I'll have my mask on though.
Teal
Berwick got beat but the racing was better can't win em all but for the first time this year I enjoyed the meeting...nice to see the track being watered too!! I guess your gonna slag me, not call me a proper fan but id rather see Berwick get beat and the racing be great than a gate and go meeting!! The music was awful tonight tho :0..........more wedding disco less high octane extreme sport!

Totally agree raceing was a lot better im like you not botherd about getting beat but unfortuneately lots of supporters wont turn out to support a loseing team so it remains a worry, i can see us getting beat again next week without David and as far as the Sky match goes against an inform Newcastle i can see us getting totally wiped aside at home on telly... Not a good advert for Berwick if we do ... just hope the lads can pull it together...

Definatley, racing was much better tonight i dont care who wins at any meeting (its an added bonus if my team win) as long as theres good racing and good racing is what gets fans through the gates. yeah what is the deal with the music at berwick it sounds like a mobile disco for kids. Dunno about anyone else but some fast heavy music is whats needed and its what would get the adrenaline pumping, s club 7 definatley doesnt do that!!
Backless
Until you have tried knitting with a tartan blanket on your knees, don't come on here with your lid, fast, heavy music suggestions. Maybe musical theme nights would be popular - I mean, who wouldn't like an evening filled with Cliff, or maybe that nice Richard Clayderman. Chris Rea would be okay too.

Fromafar
Track was much better tonight would have liked to seen bit light watering but noticed that some riders did not look too happy, the outside line was at least looking a lot better and Kozza used it to good effect in one ride.No excuses regarding result ,think we will be in a bit of bother in the next couple of weeks if that is the best we can do.I would have liked to have seen Barrett in heat 14 in place of Edberg.the bad news is speaking to a long term supporter tonight he said he has had enough and won't be back. bigeddiechek
Berwick got beat but the racing was better I couldn't make it tonight: I saw the result and was disappointed, but your comment is more important than the result. Someone who was there saying the racing was better has me looking forward to next week Looks from the scores that number 1 is where we lost the meeting?

Someone who was there saying the racing was better has me looking forward to next week Looks from the scores that number 1 is where we lost the meeting? The racing was a lot better last night , unfortunately for us Nick could not repeat his form from Friday night but I wouldn't use that as an excuse plenty of teams have come to Berwick in the past with guests who haven't performed . The form or lack of it from Edberg and Aspergren is far more worrying though .
bigeddiechek
The racing being better is a good starting point for me, that gives me a thirst for the next meeting. We can get beaten all year as long as the racing is good for me. Team changes? I really don't know who we could bring in or change? I'm just so glad to hear that racing was back.
Teal
Edberg did his job as a reserve so he isnt the issue with regards tonight result! His race keeping howarth at the back was way above his role as reserve!!!!! Good lad Aspregen is struggling I admit and very hot and cold! Had nick morris not got 2 lasts in his opening rides then the results may had gone Berwicks way, alas it didn't work that way! Track was much better tonight would have liked to seen bit light watering but noticed that some riders did not look too happy, the outside line was at least looking a lot better and Kozza used it to good effect in one ride.No excuses regarding result ,think we will be in a bit of bother in the next couple of weeks if that is the best we can do.I would have liked to have seen Barrett in heat 14 in place of Edberg.the bad news is speaking to a long term supporter tonight he said he has had enough and won't be back. very little water went on the track if you took notice I think certain riders were none too happy regarding watering. yeah I took notice thanks, with 20/20 vision I add!! But at least some water went down! Better than none!
msc1874
I'm not a Bandits fan but a few things stick out to me: Take a Ricky Ashworth out any team and your losing double figures home and away. Had he been riding then maybe results would have swung Bandits way. The riding order. I don't know but maybe a rejig of the pairings. I am not convinced its the answer but worth a try? I agree who's out there to replace anyone who's dropped? The only ones who won't probably be in line for the chop are Bellago, Wethers and Ashworth. The reserves are likely to remain, so that leaves maybe 3 possibles to drop and find suitable replacements. It's hard no obvious answers. But Ricky back me be the only missing piece
screm
As others have said the racing was better last night, still quite a few races from the gate, still quite a few strung out,but there was passing particularly on the 2nd bend from Smith, who was Berwicks best rider by far. Fair play to Workington, they only had the lead once all night and if your going to do that then the best time to do it is at the end of Ht15 and thanks to Lawson & Harrison, once they`d made the start that was pretty much that.Excellent night for Lawson, well backed up by Harrison and to a lesser extent Howarth who IMO was lucky to get a Ht9 win after clearly jumping at the start. As I said earlier Smith was excellent,Wethers & Bellego did their jobs,Bellegos score mightve been better had it not been for a blown engine at the tapes in Ht8.The form of Aspegren and once again Edberg must be a concern to the promotion. Yes the racing was better which is a plus, but another home defeat will see more supporters missing meetings as they are doing so already, and the attraction of fancy dress, better music etc wont bring them back. Edberg did his job as a reserve so he isnt the issue with regards tonight result! His race keeping howarth at the back was way above his role as reserve!!!!! Good lad You think, gifted a 2nd place in Ht2 when Tabaka stopped, last in Ht6,yes a decent ride in Ht11 to keep Howarth behind him, then another last in Ht14,a Ht14 he should not of been in IMO as I think he shouldve been replaced by Barrett.

Goldmember06
First of all Well Done Workington, deserved victory last night. Lawson, Harrison, Tabaka and to a lesser extent Howarth all rode superbly. Best I've ever seen Richard Lawson ride, Elite League racing experience showing with some very determined 1st bends. Harrison showing his years of experience in heat 15 to seal the win for Workington. As for Berwick, Kozza take a bow, was tremendous last night, backed up by David and Matty. I've yet to be convinced about the home form of Robin and Alex lack of form has been well documented. I think Nicki should've been in place of Alex in heat14 and couldn't understand the decision at the time. Came away from last nights meeting feeling massively dejected at yet another home defeat despite the racing being better. Yes plenty to be happy about at Berwick Speedway, we've never had things so good but for me the most important factor is the racing and a home win

Good lad What about his two last places , was that doing his job ?,his last place in heat14 , a heat he shouldn't have been in in my opinion went a long was to costing us the match Edited May 5, 2013 by millen
