Sheffield Vs Redcar Bears - Thurs 2/5/2013

Recommended Posts

OK - so i'll start this one rolling.

I predict a nice home win here, although i do think we need to be careful of Ulrich Ostergaard and Micky Dyer. Other than that I can see a nice win coming our way. So... Lets break it down.

Simon Stead: Our number 1 stormed to a fine Berwick 15 point haul, expecting the same tonight. Will lead by example and show the Owlerton faithful why he is the leagues best number 1.

Facundo Albin: Will do everything possible to thrill, will lay the bike down, commit, ride the boards and do everything in his power to pull in a healthy amount of points.

Joe Haines: Who knows? maybe this is the fixture where he shows some consistency, and pulls in a few useful points.

Ricky Wells: Has been in dominant form of late, might just round off a good night tonight with a smile. May turn up in Wolves kevlars.

Richard Hall: or R/R?: Will miss Richard tonight, he has been sensational so far, he loves it now his old mate Stead is back.

Damien Koppe: Ahh Damo, tomorrow might just be his night. I feel he will give it a go, but will there be an end product... time will tell.

Jake Knight: Jake will give it a go, he likes mixing it with the opposition around our beautiful fast track. Not expecting much but will definitely chip in with a few points here and there.

Thoughts Please?

How can you have a guest when Richard is not the number 1. Surely it has to be RR ?????

You said it - not me..... that is before you edited it

Anyway - using R/R for Richard (according to the new averages) means we can use Simon, Ricky,Joe & Albin for his rides without having to 'dip into' the reserves

Imo Tigers win 10+. As for the reserves Micky Dyer will wipe them out. I think Dyer will have 7 rides and score plenty of points. The Tigers reserves need to be scoring a few points now, especially at home. I no Jake got 3 vital points last week but its all a bit of a struggle. If we can use Steady, Ricky, Frank, and Joe for r/r we should be ok.

To be honest, I was shocked when they signed Jake, I think he still had a long way to go as a NL rider. If Dyer is on form he will wipe the whole team out, with the exception of Steady.

I think it could well be another tight match tomorrow, especially with no Richard Hall.

With Skiddy riding at number 2 and the likelihood that Micky Dyer will ride 7, I think that the best thing that we could do is stick the Rider Replacement at number 2, so for me heat 8 will be a crucial race and that would mean using Steady in heat 8 to snuff out the Dyer/ Skidmore combination. .

I will be suprised if we change riding order its not something our management prepare for,but if we do it could leave us weak in heat 14 when we usually building our momentum for the big finale.!!!!!!!!!!!

Me and The Dracmonster will be sampling The Owlerton Hospitality this evening! Looking forward to seeing our good friends at Sheffield. Should be a close meeting, maybe a last heat decider?
