Belle Vue Aces Vs Poole Pirates 29/4/2013

Recommended Posts

What a farce what the hell are BV playing at they cannot afford to cancel meeting willy nilly, and I feel for the Pirates that travelled to Manchester I would be incredibly cheesed off and would be in contact with them telling them what I thought of them, or even asking for a Jason Lyons keyring.

Exactly, so why is everyone assuming they have? They still have to pay the rent on the dump of a stadium if the meeting is called off.

Chris Holder Tweeted a picture of the track and it looked pretty good - this was a pathetic excuse for BV to call a meeting off when they knew they were going to get trounced.

Who's saying that they just got the hose out and dropped a puddle or 2 on the track? I wouldn't put it past them.

That pic is years old. The building you see in the distance behind the 1st bend aren't even there anymore!!!

The jurisdiction of the ref only starts a couple of hours prior to the start, up to that the home promotion make the decision, thats why this had to be done fairly early because once the ref arrived he obviously wouldn't sanction a rain off on a perfect track

One thing for certain though, would never have happened if Eurosport had the league matches instead of SKY

They could easily stop it, just needs taking out of the hands of the staging promotion and put in the hands of the respective referee or another independent official.

Some people seem to be forgetting here.. the SCB sent a local referee along to the track to check it.

Following that visit they have decided a full scale enquiry will take place with a view to holding an SCB disciplinary tribunal in the very near future.

Now, surely, if the problem was indeed a burst water main and the track indeed was flooded, surely the referee would have confirmed it and that would have been that??

Think that's the conclusion we have all drawn mate with the odd exception. Drop a Cog, Hyderoad and Aces 51 are sure to believe everything Morton and Gordon tell them

Having read the SCB statement I think that the last paragraph says it all and looks like they've already made their minds up.

I see the cretins are out in force on this thread.

Who was missing? Zagar was relaxing in the Radisson which is only 20 mins from the stadium if that is what you mean.

As for the actual problem.....

If I had a problem with the water supply to my house I would just turn the water off at the stop tap in the pavement outside my house, it really is that simple. If you are too gormless to do that you just ring united utilities and they will come and do it for you. Then I'd arrange for the leak to be repaired.

The problem is the water supply (well mine is anyway!) is underground and it would take sometime to notice, in fact it wouldn't be noticed until the ground was completely saturated and started to show which could take days or even weeks. All that assumes there is someone there to actually spot it in the first place.

It's up to the landlord and united utilities to sort out now.

So why is there to be an investigation then? A referee inspected the track and one can only assume he saw it as fit for racing otherwise there wouldn't be any investigation. Morton and co have been caught with their trousers down here and I hope they get the book thrown at them.

Don't hold your breath this is Graham Reeve and the SCB we are talking about, fining riders for absurd twitter comments is about all they are good for.

Because of what he posted on twitter? Yeah, because none of us have ever pulled a sickie at work and updated our facebook status about how ill we are while in reality we're on the way to the KOC final at Lakeside have we? :o Surely not just me?
