Scunthorpe V Workington - Tuesday, April 30th (premier League) (7.30pm) Live On Sky Sports

Recommended Posts

WHY is he a disgrace? Neither Rossiter nor Woffinden could make a definitive call despite watching it numerous times. Probably was 50/50. He made one of two equal options. Hardly a disgrace.

Come on Phil, he might be a mate of your's but Stevie Wonder would've excluded Howe as he clearly wiped Dyer out.

Just cos Rosco & Woofy originally agreed is hardly a blessing as both are hardly bright.

Not the best I've seen, but a fair evenings entrtainment. You'll never get 15 heats of brilliant speedway anywhere. With only one live speedway meeting a week as the norm it's gonna be very hit and miss anyway. Imagine if there was only one live football match on TV every week? The odds of a fantastic game of football would be pretty long. 14 riders with only half of them looking like they had a race in them. Scunthorpes reserves looked a little out of their depth. Perhaps we caught them on a bad night.

Have to say I quite enjoyed the presentation tonight - Rosco was better than Tatum and was good to hear from Woffy too. A good close meeting for the cameras too!

Rosco was terrible. Constantly getting the names wrong and mugging for the cameras. Tai came across well though although seemed a little shy. I'm sure he could blosom into a decent summariser. I still think David Norris gave it a decent shot though. For me the best commentry duo are the two guys who did the radio commentary for last years British GP, Darren Fletcher and Jan Staechmann.

I thought Rosco got better as the meeting went on. Was dreading the Tai love-in, but actually I really enjoyed the chat when he joined the other two, I thought the discussion between the three of them was interesting.

Good advert for the sport, despite the bias in favour of Gate 4 there were some great moves on the first bend. Glad that Worky got a draw out of it after the dodgy ref's call in the decider.

Dear B.S.P.A.

i am writing to your selves to obtain a referees licence to become a speedway referee.

i am sure i would be able to fulfil all the criteria that is required to obtain a licence.

i dont really know the rules of the sport , but i am sure i can wing it now and again.

although i have very poor eyesight i am sure i will be ok.

maybe when i have done a couple of meetings i would be able to do a speedway G.P.

after watching the meeting tonight,(workington v scunthorpe) i am 100% sure i would be very capable of this position.

i look forward to hearing from your selves in the not too distant future as the speedway world needs refs at this moment in time.

awaiting your reply with baited breath..JENGA.

Would you be prepared to take the torrent of abuse that would come your way when you make your first inevitable mistake?

I thought Rosco was ok and Tai gave a good insight of what the riders should be trying to achieve.I would take a meeting like that every week.Unfortunately it doesn't happen at a lot of tracks IMO

Just whizzed through the heats and fast forwared Nige and Co. The racing was Ok, but seen better at Scunthorpe more often than not. Rob and the gang must sort out the starting gates as a priority, the bias for Gate 4 is getting out of hand. A draw seems like a fair result on the night, but why no Auty in Heat 15 ? Please bring back Richard as team manager for home meetings.

Some folk really are such a bore moaning about Pearson for no reason what so ever.

People rarely moan without a reason, unless they're female. It's all down to personal taste.

Life would be boring if we all thought the same. I thought Rosco started badly and got worse throughout the meeting, by the end it was embarrassing. He was pretty well just talking about himself and often talking over Tai. I also thought he made Shouty seem even worse than normal. But Tai, who I expected to be useless, came across very well I thought, no sign on any ego which was great to see.
