Gavan
i wasnt digging him out. he has been fantastic and he will have bad meetings. But on the pace or not any rider that scores zero has had a bad night. Im not worried in the slightest about Adam
spanner47
lets look at the facts. we got stuffed!! Barker aside it was woeful and yes Adam has been fantastic but he had a poor meeting on a track he hadnt seen. the 1 rider who needs to go is Risager basically he is so poor its untrue. wouldnt have saved us last night but he needs to go. Personally we have done ok so far as we at last have a good number 1 and 2 reserves I cant believe the doom and gloom after one bad meeting. The team is looking ok, Leigh and Rohan had a bad night, which you dont expect from the heat leaders, but sometimes that happens. Morten is a perfectly adequate 2nd string. If you honestly think there's a better rider available than Morten on that average, then please tell us who he is. As Chris always says, Morten is a confidence rider, and i'm sure he'll bang in some big scores soon. That ride in heat 14 on Thursday will have done him a power of good. The only rider who has underperformed (based on expectations) this season is Ben, but hopefully the way he finished last night will be the start of things to come. The updates didn't mention any passing, was there any? or was it all down to the 1st/2nd bend? I used to love going to Worky, but the track is nowhere near as good as it used to be.

jenga
But you're not riding Sheffield tomorrow are you you'll be taking on a better side. OOPS...OOPS..OOPS. Roger Jacobs
How does Barker with draw from a meeting 48 hours previous with a broken wrist then return to action and score very well!!! Suspected broken wrist, which was x-rayed on Friday, and found not to be so. Heavily strapped and declared himself fit. By the same token, are you asking how did Stead withdraw from a meeting (indeed, not even take part) 48 hours earlier with shoulder injuries, but return to action and score very well?! Bit of a thumping for the Elite league rejects that..Worky looking strong Troll. Ipswich rejected the not-very-Eite League. Workington definitely looked strong with Cook and a superbly in form Dyer . However, no excuses on behalf of the Witches, they were dire - and the Comets got some revenge for that controversial aggregate defeat last season. Some of us know all morten is is a second string, so why don't people lose the bull shine and don't mention him challenging for the number 1 spot. Then maybe people wouldn't have expectations of him ever being more than he is.

Jackal
What a totally gutless performance, losing a 20 point lead by heat 9. This after Witches great all-round win Thursday to now dish up this utter crap display of showing no nous of what was needed whatsoever! It makes us fans feel embarrassed to be a supporter when this awful rubbish is what we get for our pains. Ben apart who rode well, the second top scorer getting only 4 points is woeful and to think this team can make the top 6 is laughable!!! Its time for honesty from the Witches promotion and admit this team put together is simply lacking in real guts and glory and thats whats needed for success. Riders not getting stuck in and pootling around the white line is not whats needed and simply they are not good enough and we need more riders who will seek the better lines out wide. While this type of rider remains at Ipswich its my belief the Witches will win nothing and all the talk-talk we get from CL before the season starts, will change naff all and quite frankly is meaningless. Shadders
I know the texters and updaters on the updates site are using their own phones but " seriously " ? ' Woop Woop ' ' Woo Hoo ' and then ' Great ! ' to Bens engine failure are hardly constructive First time texter, from the comments aged around 12, so moronic comments should be expected. I would imagine that he/she was the only texter who came forward, so I suppose any updates are better than none.

Don't you need to be over 16 and yes it was the only person come forward so anything is better than none, Now I may get shoot down with this comment but not 100% sure Barker had an E/F in that heat as he was team riding Hawkins and looking back at comets pair and clipped the panel on back straight so could of snapped his chain, but surely if he would of just went for the 3 points and I'm sure Hawkins may of been good enough to pick up 3rd it could of been a 3-3 or 4-2 to Ipswich

" to someones misfortune is uncalled for ! I understand it was a first time home texter who is obviously very biased but more constructive comments would have appreciated . However the Witches simply weren't good enough and we're well beaten by the better team . Again well done to the Comets .
Backless
By the same token, are you asking how did Stead withdraw from a meeting (indeed, not even take part) 48 hours earlier with shoulder injuries, but return to action and score very well?! Perfectly reasonable question. Stead suffered his injury last Saturday. By Thursday, we would have been recuperating, but not ready to race. By this Saturday he was. In Barker's case he was "fine" when Thursday's meeting started, THEN got injured & without the NHS providing a general update on his fitness on FRiday, he turned out less than 48 hours after sustaining an injury that caused his withdrawal on Thursday. First time texter, from the comments aged around 12, so moronic comments should be expected. I would imagine that he/she was the only texter who came forward, so I suppose any updates are better than none. Any press coverage is better than none. Any speedway is better than none. The reason speedway is where it is today.
