Ipswich Jules
I see Ben Barker has made a remarkable recovery from the wrist he broke at Sheffield on Thursday Where was it said he had a broken wrist?
Aries
Well that was a bit pants Ipswich! I think this meetings shows more about how inconsistent we are as much as anything else. Yes Workington are a good side, but is Workington away THAT much tougher than Scunthorpe away? And yet we draw at Scunthorpe and get hammered by more than 30 at Worky. Frustrating. danny
Cook and Dyer got nearly as many as the Worky riders putogether as well. Wink! Good luck in the next round. Maths was never my strong point but Is that comment for real? , Cook and Dyer scored 5 points less than the SEVEN riders from Ippo, but they scored 37 points less than the FIVE other riders from Worky. Shadders
Where was it said he had a broken wrist? Badly injured enough to withdraw from a meeting he was struggling in, but made a remarkable recovery to race in a meeting two days later. Threw his toys out of the pram cos he knew he was getting seeded through
CardinalSin
Louis clearly not happy with the "effort" of the riders last night. Say's they let both the team sponsors and the fans down and won't let it happen again. http://www.ipswichwitches.co/index.php/news-centre/631-witches-crash-out-of-koc Edited April 28, 2013 by CardinalSin

workyboy
I thought the "texter" was the worst ever Ive ever known and so biased it was beyond belief. One race she even went "woop woop woop" when Ben had an engine failure, totally disgraceful. When Risager actually won a race no comment at all was made until obviously prompted too, it all left a nasty taste in your mouth \\\\\\\\\\\\ dear jackal, you'd be in the sh*t/dark without the updates. Just remember you have to visit Workington again later this season. How about NO updates for you lot darn souff!!
Jonny the spud
Sort of "If you don't like it we'll take our ball away " Get over it. You won, sheesh
LagutaRacingFan
Considering Workington were weakened with them missing their inspirational captain Rich Lawson who has a higher average than Craig Cook who did his best filling Rich's big boots. I would have thought Ipswich would have had enough to win.

CardinalSin
think you will find it will happen again and not just at workington.. love this bitching thread. I'm not sure the extent of the defeat will happen again. I'm not saying it won't as people would delight in pulling this post back up in the future, but I'd be very surprised if last night wasn't our biggest defeat of the season. This Ipswich team really isn't that bad at all and I'm still more than confident it's good enough for a play off place. The Likes of Ellis will get better as the season goes on and a fit Heeps will help too.

Richard and Craig are BOTH great riders , who gives a damn whos average is better, Richard is injured and Cookie is doing a fantastic job for us as his guest replacement, lets leave it at that, you are beginning to look rather embarrassing

Let's be honest, it will happen again, maybe not as bad, but it will happen, and my guess would be at Sheffield.

Roger Jacobs
Perfectly reasonable question. Stead suffered his injury last Saturday. By Thursday, we would have been recuperating, but not ready to race. By this Saturday he was. In Barker's case he was "fine" when Thursday's meeting started, THEN got injured & without the NHS providing a general update on his fitness on FRiday, he turned out less than 48 hours after sustaining an injury that caused his withdrawal on Thursday. You must publish the NHS injured speedway riders website - would be very useful. Barker had an x-ray on Friday which indicated no break, was strapped up and declared himself fit. After Saturday's result, I'm glad he made the effort! Any press coverage is better than none. Any speedway is better than none. The reason speedway is where it is today. Absolutely agree. That's easy then you update meeting and I will text No thanks, I have already rushed out and found a much more interesting prior engagement.
