Workington V Ipswich (koc) 2nd Leg 27/04/13 7.00pm

Recommended Posts

Cook did ok but Lawson would have won Heat 13.

Why do you post such nonsense???

Only 3 rider posted a time under 64 seconds Barker and Cook twice

With Cook having the fastest time of the night 62.5

Another point Lawsons highest score at home is 11 this season from 4 home matches Cook got 12 tonight on his first appearance of the season to Derwent park.

Your heat 13 point is nonsense as Lawson has only won 1 of his 4 attempts at heat 13.

I was hoping the updates sight would give us an idea of the meeting other than the score but the comments are about as useful as a cock flavoured lollipop

Edit..... coke flavoured

there was some decent racing at times with some passing from both teams

and even more impressive was the quality of the juniour racing in the 2nd half

adam ellis didnt ride too bad tonight after he found his way round

a couple of meetings at derwent park and i think he would be ok

id be more worried about ipswich no 4 and 5 if i was a ippo fan

4 and 5 chipped in with points that gave us a draw at Scunthorpe. Just have to put today down as a very bad day at the office and move on.

Yup , well done to Workington , their home advantage appears to be far greater than ours !

I know the texters and updaters on the updates site are using their own phones but " seriously " ?

' Woop Woop ' ' Woo Hoo ' and then ' Great ! ' to Bens engine failure are hardly constructive comments .

Given the form Cams been in please let him be OK .

not really any home advantage at workington its a pritty neutral track but its big and fast and not every riders fav

texter was first timer and WORKING on the track at the same time. the whoop, whoop was for the points scored and NOT any misfortune suffered by any Ipswich riders in their failures or falls. just be grateful someone took the time and made the effort to do this service... one last thing , the watches were really dire and were almost 1/4 of a lap behind the leading rider(a Workington one) most of the time . p.s .. you scored LESS than the poor Sheffield side the week before.

<snip> Stuff about updates <snip>

I completely missed the comment that Goopin was working at the track, and have sent a pm acknowledging how much tougher it is to work and text - I know, I did it on Thursday.

It does show what a fantastic service Live Updates has become, when expectations are so high. #bythefansforthefans and in my humble opinion it puts the BSPA to shame. But then, my humble opinion often seems to get me labelled as a trouble maker, LOL.

Excellent performance from the Comets, + guests, never expected that!! Ipswich were very disappointing for the most part and squandering a 20pt lead must be pretty galling for the faithful?

Have to admit that the effort's of Cook and Dyer made the show possible tonight, big bounce back from Rusty too after his lapse midweek and solid scoring from the rest of the guy's did the job nicely!!

Barker looked superb once he got his eye in and full marks to Ritchie Hawkins, great battling tonight and worth more than he got.. overall tho, too many below par performances from Ipswich to be worth mentioning so needn't bother that, they are a much better team than this and basically were just taken apart by a team who, perhaps, just wanted it more?

Just a sad person who wants a reaction. No clue really about proper constructive discussion mate. Every post this person makes is complete drivel. Just ignore and move on mr B.

When was the last time Workington lost a home meeting ?

I would say they are definitely one of the better teams in the league but to go from a 20 pt defeat away and then turn in a 32 pt home win against the same team shows a massive home track advantage !

Don't get me wrong , fair play to them on a superb turnaround and they took full advantage of a dire Witches performance .

Ipswich have a long way to go if they are to compete for anything this season and this result proves that big time !

lets look at the facts. we got stuffed!! Barker aside it was woeful and yes Adam has been fantastic but he had a poor meeting on a track he hadnt seen.

the 1 rider who needs to go is Risager basically he is so poor its untrue. wouldnt have saved us last night but he needs to go. Personally we have done ok so far as we at last have a good number 1 and 2 reserves

adam ellis didnt have a poor meeting the lad did ok

yes he didnt score points but he was on the pace the 2nd half of the meeting just unlucky he was up against more experienced riders who beat him on the night

personaly i was impressed by ellis who lets face it wont have rode many tracks as big and fast as derwent park in his short spell as a full time speedway rider
