Shadders
There was far fewer there tonight than last weeks meeting with Edinburgh. Ok, travelling support wil be considerably less than last week, but with reduced admission failing to draw in the crowds that can only signal struggles ahead Edited April 27, 2013 by Shadders

Teal
What do you think the options are re track?? Genuine question as I know little about it, dirt needed? are the bikes now too fast?

DSC67
A win is a win , and that's about all you can say about tonights match still a long was to go yet with both the team and the racing surface . Comics up next and they will have some proper reserves
cyclone
I personally just think its the shape thats the issue not really the preparation. Â Agree and I do not think there is a possibility of major changes, given that this is a football stadium where I believe Berwick Rangers FC are unlikely to sanction the changes necessary, such as widening the first and second bends. bigeddiechek
I watched my 2005 season review DVD last night. There was loads of passing then. Â Has the track shape changed? Â One thing I did notice was a Hell of a lot of bumps in those days. No idea how they stayed on!
DSC67
personally I think that the new exhausts and the way engines are prepared have a lot to do with it , bikes or the riders don't seem to like to much dirt
Robinh88
Thought the standard of racing was pretty average for Berwick. Track rather slick with little grip out wide its so important to make starts (i.e Joe Haines) in Heat 7. Pretty much all the races were strung out after the 1st bend. Wells and Stead netted 25 points in there first 4 rides, to be honest they need not have bothered getting changed into there kevlars it looked so easy, paticularly the latter. Â Sheffield had nothing at reserve as expected, Albin is a battler, but he wont make millions at Shiefield, gating as he did. Â For Berwick, we got through, intresting to see what could have happened in Heat 14 pre crash...
Bulkerbill
Berwick were lucky still think they need to bring in two heat leaders as for the track well they might as well race round the car park at asda there's more grip on it, people want to see raceing not follow the leader, get someone who knows how to prepare a raceing surface an we need to see passing close safe fast racein try bring the crowds back to speedway at berwick
screm
I described this as a must win for Berwick so from that point of view it was a successful night with the home team grabbing all the points. In truth Berwick made heavy weather of beating a Sheffield team that ran with virtually four riders, with Albin,Koppe and Knight passengers.  Star of the night was Simon Stead who raced to a faultless, effortless maximum,he was backed up by Wells and to a lesser extent Haines and Hall, sadly Sheffield lost Hall to a nasty looking Ht14 crash to looks like an upper arm injury.Hopefully it isnt as bad a is being feared and he will be back soon.  Very worrying to see so many empty spaces on the terraces last night, but in all honesty if you serve up that kind of entertainment on a track thats prepared like that then you certainly cant blame people for keeping their £13s in their pocked. From the gate racing all night with only two (count them) two passes all night after the second bend, excatly what Sky will make of a meeting like this when they turn up goodness only knows.  Looking forward to next week,Workington turn up next week and have their go at finding a secong racing line round Shielfield, and with Edinburgh & Redcar not racing that night,if they turn up with Dyer & Cook as guests it could get very untidy for the home team.Question is how many will be there to see it giving theres a GP that night and the entertainment that that series is serving up.

A1Mushroom
My wife attended the meating last night as i was at work. This is the first time she had ever left any meating before completion, didnt even stay to give the 2nd half any support which we usually do. Â The last couple of meatings the track seems to have two difinitive lines, the inside one and the outside. Set the bike up for the inside and great gate and go racing, touch the deeper stuff and the bike die's and you'll go backwards. Â Has installing the safety fence made the track slightly narrower?
