Normski
Well the Bandits 2013 league campaign finally gets under way with a visit from a much changed Sheffield team. Hopefully the Bandits can get back to winning ways following the dissapointment of the previous 2 home meetings. With Ricky still suffering from concussion Bandits have drafted in Kevin Doolan as a guest. whilst for the Tigers still uncertainty as to whether Simon Stead rides although with his average they can have the pick of available guests. Think the result of this match could hinge on the performances of both teams lower order /reserve riders can just about see Berwick winning this one by 6 - 8pts
Robinh88
Hopefully its a nice night, plan on bringing my deck chair, hopefully I'll get a tan. I'll be paying attention to the track before I nod off around 1855. If we win, I can see us climbing up the ladder at a vast rate of knots

rgcumming
Berwick should have enough home track knowledge to see off Sheffield this weekend, especially at reserve where the Tigers look vulnerable away from home. Hopefully Stead is passed fit to ride, as he along with Richard Hall and Ricky Wells can keep the match close. Many eyes will be on Facundo Albin who many feel should be a Bandit. Bandits by 10. Ariel75
I hope Sheffield win, but the most important the fans of bandits receive very well to facu.- Go Sheffield. go facu GO.-
screm
No disrespect to Sheffield but this is a must win for Berwick,no ifs no buts,a must win.
thetiger2799
This has the makings of being a very tasty meeting. ...and if I wasn't saving for my Holiday at the end of May, would have thought about a wee drive down. Think Bandits will sneak it, but Sheffield to get a point.
OdsalBoy
Stead: Hoping to be fit for this big meeting. Albin: He will want to show the Berwick faithful on what they are missing, ride the boards, score some useful points and terrify opposition riders with his unique syle. Haines: Who knows,? two last places and then a shock win. not expecting more than 3 from Hainesy. But please prove me wrong. Hall: Hally will want to smash it in at Berwick. He can ride the place and Mr Hall seems like he is having a great time lately. Could win us the meeting. Wells: ahh Mr Wells.... Capable. but not sure if he will deliver. will chip in with useful points i reckon. May turn up in Wolves Kevlars. Koppe: I really dont know what to say here, looks to be finding PL going very tough, hope he puts in a good shift, but can see very little points being scored. Knight: Knighty will try, not expecting heat wins, but the odd point here and there should do it. IF Stead isnt match fit then WE NEED to bring in a BIG HITTING number 1 to guest for him. NO R/R PLEASE! draft in Barker or Tungate to cover Stead.

Backless
And Barker withdrew from a meeting - at Sheffield - with a broken wrist.
screm
Other than Berwick and Sheffield there are four other PL tracks racing tomorrow night,so theres reasonable scope to bring in an adequate guest for Stead. But please Sheffield no r/r.
Paulco
And it appears Cook is guesting for Workington , so it wont be him either . Screeny did well on his last visit there , and i'm sure he'd jump at the chance to don the Sheffield colours for a night . He might not score a max , but will score double figures and surely that is better than r/r

R/R just makes no sense when it's your number 1 that's out, but it is the 'Cheap option' which seems to be favoured by Sheffield (or was last year). If the Tigers want to have any chance of taking something from this meeting and Steady isn't ready to resume then Joe Screen would appear to be a good option (if available). If not Josh Auty could do a decent job, looked fast last night in the semi once he got going.

Home Simon Stead 10.13 Richard Hall 9.71 Ricky Wells 7.69 Away Simon Stead 7.63 Richard Hall 6.67 Ricky Wells 8.00 I make Ricky Wells our most consistent away performer so far this season. screm
Weather forecast fairly reasonable for this match, there will be drizzle over night and possibly into tomorrow morning, but by lunchtime that should all have gone leaving a bright and dry afternoon and evening. I hope Stead will be fit,and be at Berwick tomorrow,he is a class act in the PL.However if hes not able to give his best I hope Sheffield go with a guest, theres plenty of decent alternatives.
