I have always loved International Speedway Tests much more than ordinary league meetings. This Poland v Russia meeting is absolutely great.

They could so easily provide the international highlights of the season in the UK, with foreign test teams visiting with all those top stars that we don't get to see riding in the Elite League anymore.

You see from the huge crowd they got at Ostrow, that an International speedway test match does appeal to the public if properly promoted. Unfortunately in Britian the BSPA bosses are just not interested in the welfare of the country, the national team and the British riders. All they seem interested in is how to gain advatages for their own clubs and harm their rivals. Very short sighted indeed.

Oh how I wish to see ENGLAND ride again (please do away with that "TeamGB").

Some more "bonus coverage" of the meeting- the REALLY important stuff.

Great stuff for those who missed it. Thanks Pawel.

Regards. Alan.

Thank you Pawel and Alan it's superb quality even full screen. I've so got to try and find time to fit that in some time this week.

Don't you just love and marvel at the internet.

Cheers for that Pawel.

I spent all week making sure I did not see the score and watched it today.

Enjoyable meeting and both teams can take positives from the meeting.

Borodulin made one of the passes of the day swooping around the Old Master.

Ilya Chalov really impressed me and he and Borodulin both looked competitive.

Russia lost several points simply because they got in each others way when a rider was building up a head of steam.

Team riding practice may be worth exploring.

Obviously not for the WTC as it does not matter.

Artem was dissapointing but Greg is one of the best in the world and surely deserves a SGP wild card.

Roman did his job but Russia really need a 4th man for the WTC.

For Poland Czaja was impressive and showed he is one of a nice crop of upandcoming riders in the Extra league. I wish we had something like that here.

Szczepaniak did a good job and is another upandcomer.

Hampel was great but I think he was lucky to finish unbeaten.

Gollob! what can you say. Maybe one of the greatest passing manouvers of all time. Absolutely brilliant and my man of the match.

The WTC this year could well be interesting as only 3 out of the top teams can get there.

Russia are in the mix but need to fire on all cylinders as there is no room for error now the ridiculous rule allows teams like the Czechs into the final when they would not have a hope in Hell of ever getting there on merit.

The start line girls were rather distracting especially the Polish cameramans attempts to see what colour underwear they were wearing. :)
