dantodan
No sign of a thread started for this match so here it is. Will the Bears succeed this time against the rampant Diamonds, can Ludvig score as well as he did last time. Newcastle are looking for more League cup points so look out Bears we are looking down our sights at you

boz
Would expect the Bears to run the Diamonds alot closer - could go either way really although my head says a narrow diamonds win. One thing is for certain, we need to start meetings a lot better than we have been! As exciting as it's been, we cant do that every week! dantodan
I think the diamonds team will thump Redcar again unless a wet track changes things. I expect a maximum away win of 7 points or more meaning 4 cup points for the championship contenders. Redcar posters? any chance of local weather updates between now and kick off time? boz
Been a steady drizzle in the centre of boro for the last hour or so. Forecast yo pass us by shortly soon though so should hopefully be on - in fact the water could be good for track
Tsunami
Heard that there is a lorry accident on the A66 outside the Riverside Stadium, and the road is closed in both directions until the lorry is removed. Should be cleared by sometime after 5.00pm. Edited April 25, 2013 by Tsunami
boz
Y Heard that there is a lorry accident on the A66 outside the Riverside Stadium, and the road is closed in both directions until the lorry is removed. Should be cleared by sometime after 5.00pm. Yep, incident happened around 11am this morning, police said they aimed to have it clear in 4 hours. Actually overlook the A66 from where I work so will try and keep you updated on that as well.

Pat sharp
Road is STILL CLOSED. Any Diamonds fans should maybe give themselves an extra half hour travelling time, as everyone local will be using the same diversion.
boz
Cleveland Police have now said the road is open. Not sure if any lane restrictions but traffic seems to be flowing fine. Weather has brightened up a touch too - been no drizzle for the last hour or so, fingeres crossed its all systems go.

Should be cleared by sometime after 5.00pm. its opened back up now both ways but their is a backlog of traffic which should be cleared by the time the wonky box barcode army arrives, the inside lane heading towards the riverside is coned off as the wagon with its 40 foot pipes has wiped the central reservation crash barriers out. we havent had a great deal of rain near the track all day as ive been working just around the corner so theirs no way on earth that it will be called off with the rain weve had already.
diamond_ren
Hmm meeting delayed due to track work then? Well if the diamonds lose we can always use the bears favourite excuse the track was poor ha ha
