2ndbendbeerhut
Would like to see what North would be saying if the shoe was on the other foot! Good job we have an airfence The only thing turned off was Norths brain. When was it turned on? The back straight incident was simliar to the Pedersen/Jonasson one at last years Gothernburg SGP in semi final. Just that Barker was lucky not to fall or go through fence as was close to it. frostylion
Interesting to see a lot of the other riders egging North on.....not defending North in anyway but Ben really doesn't seem very popular among his fellow riders,I've no of several riders who don't hold him in very high regard

Aussies sticking up for their own whether they think someone is right or wrong?
Bash
Totally disgraceful move by North, he actually slowed down going into the third bend, waited for Ben and then rode him into the fence, totally premeditated and he should be given a ban. The sport is dangerous enough without putting someone into the fence on purpose. As for trying to impress PL promotors he was interviewed during the meeting and said he had no intention of riding PL this year, because it was boring, crap money and fed up with all the rain-offs up north. So this answers the question that he wasn't available to sign for Ipswich as he didn't want PL racing.
Mr Blobby
Barker has been known to do things of a similar nature in the past I think this has something to do with riders not liking him but it sounds like mr north has been a naughty boy tonight

He did come off the throttle as he went into the third bend and waited for his target. He absolutely nailed him. In a very nasty way it was kind of impressive, but you don't want to see people hurt. Not impressed by Ben saying he will get him back either, but I I can understand it. It was a really low blow, vindictive and premeditated. Ipswich Jules
And all his mates / riders / mechanics in the pits congratulating him after the altercation as if it was something to be proud of? Dakota has tweeted - and deleted - to Chris Holder when asked about the incident in the pits saying "@Chris_Holder23 haha nar man no punches just told the clown to fuq off, his had it coming a long time from alot of people" Trying to justify it, good one Edited May 2, 2013 by Ipswich Jules

I'm guessing that Holder got in touch pretty quick to tell him to delete... I wonder if anyone took screenshots as nobody will believe you Jules!! Shadders
I'm sure these things used to go on in the "good old days", but its totally unacceptable. No doubt some sort of punishment should insue, but you can bet your life nothing will happen. Unless its in the referees report it'll just be forgotten. Some of these hot heads need to be sat in a room with the likes of Garry Stead and Laurence Hare for a while to realise how dangerous the sport is. If Dakota North is any sort of man he'll be making a full and unreserved apology.

red5
Understandable as they get to know him as a person, ego and all. No matter what happens on the Track the BSPA will do nothing at all about this. As readers quote he backed off the throttle and nailed him, a deliberate move and calculated. Well I for one would like Mr North hit with a big ban, 3 months for his conduct, Plain and Simple. Mark Loram should be considdered in this, life is dangerous Speedway is dangerous, but there are things that you do and things you dont, an example needs to be made and now and big. And the Twitter page should be kept as well, Holder should be accountable in as much as what was said. In quoting BB, what goes around comes around,

Not sure if Lol Hare was there tonight but I know Mark Loram was, ok Mark isn't paralysed through a speedway injury but his career was cut short through an accident which North almost duplicated in his first attempt when he turned right on Barker on the back straight before he rolled off the throttle on the third bend to nail him on the fourth. It was a deliberate act, not sure if there is any history between the two of them - or if North thought he was taking up the crusade on his own - but it sure looked like there was niggle there from watching that race. Brujas Espanolas
I'm sure these things used to go on in the "good old days", but its totally unacceptable................ Of course it did. Following a particularly "nasty" meeting at the old County Ground, where both Dean Standing and David Norris were hospitalised, Richard Green was seen as the villain of the piece. As a result a "bounty" was put on his head for the return at Foxhall, and Greeny was duly dispatched via the safety fence. When the rider went to claim the "bounty" it was refused, as Green hadn't required a trip in the ambulance!!! No doubt following the events of last year, Barker has been the target of certain young Aussies. Cue The Ink Spots.
Travertine
Shame that it sullied what seemed like a very exciting meeting - Judging from the texts that Jules put out, it was building up to an exciting climax which thankfully did not include Mr North. I think your skills as a texter will be called upon again, Jules! Edited May 3, 2013 by Travertine

I think your skills as a texter will be called upon again, Jules! I struggled to write my War And Peace novels inbetween heats, and I'm no slouch at texting! What I text through to Fozzie was much longer than a lot of what appeared in a lot of cases, I do tend to go on a bit sometimes! lol
Jackal
All the comments mostly seem about the deliberate disgraceful riding out of Ben by Dak but this turned into one of the best individuals at foxhall for years. Rohan was a worthy winner, shame he will be signed by Poole on a regular basis next season, as money always talks where CL is concerned. Gonzales looked quite handy indeed and I think CL should sign him quickly before someone else does. Just a comment about about the attendance which was very small and just go to show most fans do not want premier racing as many of the top riders where there for all to see

Gavan
I was at foxhall on Thursday night to see one of the most nastiest piece of riding ever. I personally feel that he should serve some sort of ban not only for the incident but for telling people he meant it both verbally and on twitter.
