Message To The Leicester Promotor

Recommended Posts

nothing I have said is untrue or libel, I speak as a fan who has paid for a product and expected it to be a lot better.if you can't have an opinion then what's the point of a forum?

I'm sorry, Robert, but an example of what Massey Harris is saying is the continual telling people that DH has upset someone whenever someone departs from the scene or something goes wrong. If you do not know as a matter of fact that he is at fault, you should not be saying it.

Watch out for those blue lights, Robert. Lol.

Lol yes plus the swat team aswell, the problem is that I know first hand some of the things that has gone on,I also know what Leicester speedway should be like as a club,I think for me it's down to frustration that a new track close to home has got the main product so wrong and won't admit it.

Anyone ever been on a football forum?

But there is a difference between having an opinion and being libellous.

Why is there no challenge match been lined up for this Saturday. Yet another break before we see the Lions again. What's happened to the Ivor Brown Trophy. Thought that might be a regular fixture when we had a reserved week. This season has seemed so stop start. The first year we had fixtures every week.

Get used to it , If Hemsley feeds his ego to the full and joins the Elite League , there will be at best racing every 2 weeks and more than likely if it's an 8 team Elite every 3 weeks . so think yourself lucky you had had 3 seasons with varied opposition and few gaps .

Not sure about anything in speedway TWK , especially with the Silly season approaching , There are known knowns; there are things we know that we know. There are known unknowns; that is to say, there are things that we now know we don't know.

But there are also unknown unknowns – there are things we do not know we don't know.

Maybe best not taking any risks as Sunday is way more important than a Saturday friendly in the grand scheme of things.

Sounds like we'll have a team full of unknowns, operating in an as yet unknown league. It's fear of the unknown that bothers me

here's an unknown . this mx/speedway event starts at 1 pm on Saturday assuming the weather is good and the large crowd expected shows up , where will all the punters park their motors ? , shopping centre in full swing so no parking there without getting clamped

Would that be on the famous MUD hills outside the Stadium?:blink:

Here you go. :)

Please note that once the stadium car park is full, we will direct cars to our overflow parking that is available on Boston Road and Sheene Road. There are several footpaths from these two streets to the stadium, and the way will be clearly signposted for your guidance.

British tracks are some of the hardest tracks in the world to ride. No two tracks are the same in this country. It comes down to the fact that the rider has to get used to the track and the surface conditions. I f you wan't there on Sunday night then you missed the best meeting you could have seen on any track in any country in the world.

Krystof Kaserzac rode like it was his home track and so did several others and if you wanted to see overtaking then it was in abundance.

The track crew had slogged their hearts out for 2 days to keep the track riderable and I don't think that any track in the country could have stood up so well to the weather we had last week.

Also for tean Great Britain to want to stage the Ben Fund race there next year and if you read the quote from the Lions webpage about the stadium, then obviously some one has got something wrong.

From a true loyal Lions fan.

Well, the last sentence is true anyway. You would have to be a 'true loyal Lions fan' to think that was the best meeting you could have seen on any track in any country in the world. I'm still not sure if you're being serious but I'll bite. Credit to the track staff though for getting the meeting on.

I t was far better racing than some I have seen whre all 15 races are like they have been joined together by a peice of elastic and follow each other 10 feet apart. Leicester have a stadium to be prood of and it is great to have speedway back in the city. Yes things take time to sort out. Think back to the day it all went flop years back. Back to the bad old days when stadiums where closing left right and centre Cradley Heath, and Long Eaton to name a few, ask them if they want their speedway back do you think that Long Eaton riders liked losing their home track and now ride at such a hoorible place as Leiceter no they are pleased to just have the fact that they can race.

I have folled speedway for many years gone to some great tracks and tracks that you wouldn't be proud to have in your backyard. But the riders are where there not all riders have the cash behind them to 4 bikes and a team of top class mechanics behind them, but it is these guys that enjoy their sport. Leicters stadium is not that bad and from what I have seen in the stands on a Sunday night there are some graet fans there, not many of them are winging and whining but are enjoying the racing and and enjoying the day.

If you don't like what you see and what a few on here are going on about, then please be quite. Go about it in an adult fashion and get a meeting with the management at a meeting with the fans and then put your points to them face to face.

Our is it just easier to maon and groan sitting behind your keyboard .

I for one are glad that there is speedway back in the city and this area after Long Eaton closed that was the end of local speeway and the nearest track then was Coventry and there was no way I was traveling to see them.

There gas been a lot of hard work put into the stadium and after only 3 years it is far better than some stadiums in the country.

So get something done if you are not happy.

And yes there was some good racing on Sunday. I have seen far worse on Sky than what went on on Sunday night

eh???

I'm with Gemini, I'm not sure if you're serious, i'm a benefit of the doubt type of guy so my guess is that you're not. At least that's my view from the bit's i can actually understand!

I'll bite as well though, No one is denying the hard work that has gone into the stadium, hopefully everyone who has put that work and effort in has been rewarded in a way that's been agreeable to them!!

Nice stadium notwithstanding, doesn't make up for the shocking quality of the racing us fans have to put up with week in week out. Sunday was dreadful., No meaningful passing whatsoever... again. What on earth were you watching?

And you obviously missed the dirty great pile of Shale just inside pits entrance that was taken off the track (50 Tons I heard) in an effort to get the meeting on?

Anyone with half a knowledge of Speedway would know that if you take the whole top surface off a track it's bound to reduce passing opportunities but of course it had to happen otherwise there would have been no meeting at all!

There was still some decent racing especially in the first 6 heats before it got even slicker.

"Shocking racing week in week out"? Even most of the most critical people have acknowledged it's got a lot better as the season went on, so change the record
