Main Man
The 'Skills Coaches' Invaders claimed their first Midland Development League points of the season this evening when they saw off the challenge of the Stoke Spitfires at Leicester's Jordan Road Surfacing Stadium to record their first win of the season, defeating the Potteries side by a six point margin, 20:14. Despite debutant Haydon Ball enduring engine problems which restricted him to a total of just one, paid two, the side, ably led by Lee Geary, who notched his first nine point maximum of the season managed to overcome a depleted Spitfires side who were hampered by the unavailability of Shaun Tedham and tracked only three riders. Last minute efforts were made by the management of both teams to try and find a replacement but to no avail. Jez Pestell won both of the races he appeared in and Sean Phillips scored four, paid five.
