stoneylegend
Our PL season starts tomorrow at Derwent Park and although we took a point from Sheffield around Owlerton last night nothing should be took for granted as I feel its going to be another close . Steady, Wells and Hall should bring strong competition to our heat leaders. Any Sheffield fans making the trip? The weather is sunny here today so if its like this tomorrow we should be in for a treat! Edited April 19, 2013 by stoneylegend

Steve55
Unfortunately can't make it tomorrow, if it's anything like last night there should be some good racing to watch. However unless we get lucky I can't see the Tigers taking any points away. The Comets reserve pairing is much stronger and the top three Sheffield riders won't be able to carry them at DP. I think that the Tactical ride will come into play again & I don't like that rule either - it's worked against Sheffield at home many times in the last couple of years. Think the Tigers will do well to keep it to a 12 point margin - enjoy!
Charlieboy
If the meeting is anything like last night it will be a cracker.Fancy comets to get revenge, probably by 12 to 14 points.Hope our lads can keep it tight but reserves may be the diference. GM
Should be a good meeting. Hoping its run as good and as quick as last weeks meeting and not so much of the tractor racing. Meeting was run fast even with Newcastle using r/r more of the same please.
scaramanga
and if the tractors are gonna be out can they grade the track where there actually riding instaed of pointless track grading on the outside of 1st bend
graz gp
It should be a hard fought match. The Tigers have riders that go well around Derwent park. So if the Comets are not on the ball we could surprise them. I think the Tigers will get a point at least. Steady should fly round there. Come on you Tigers. Cue Ball
Over after Heat 1 and the loss of Steady by the looks of it. Hope he's ok. 10 points from Stead would have made things a lot more respectable
ciderman
After the meeting Worky's injury jinx continues with Chris Mills breaking a wrist after practising starts and lifting in one of them! Just as the guy was scoring solid points!

Well done Comets all 7 of you

stemoc
Great result for the Comets, by far the better team over two legs, once Steady had gone that was the end of the Tiggers not that he would have made any difference they look very long in the tail. From our point of view great team performance.

Cue Ball
When was the last time you heard a manager / promoter, when asked by a rival promotion, come out and say "we don't have a cat in hells chance when we come to your place next week"??? Of course Hoggy said that we would give you a run for your money!! What else would you expect him to have said in all seriousness?

Halifaxtiger
When was the last time you heard a manager / promoter, when asked by a rival promotion, come out and say "we don't have a cat in hells chance when we come to your place next week"??? Of course Hoggy said that we would give you a run for your money!! What else would you expect him to have said in all seriousness? Hoggy could have quietly chosen to say that his side is better than some have thought (which is undeniably true) and that they are looking forward to their visit. Alternatively, he didn't have to even refer to Sheffield but simply got on with presenting the meeting - which is what he was there for after all. What he did was refer to how they had been feeding Albin on 'raw meat', that they would give the Comets a real fight (which would not have happened even if Stead had not been injured) and ram home some of the predictions made by pundits and fans. To my mind (and I was there) he simply opened his mouth too wide and, after the narrow squeak at home and the hammering last night, he's looking rather foolish. I doubt if he'll make similar comments for a while.
