Fromafar
Any decent track team should be able to change the track conditions, theres seven days till the next time theres speedway. One worrying note,Alex Edberg has posted on Facebook,"Was scared today sorry everyone",if that isnt being lost in translation then thats very concerning. changing the track every week till you get it right is not the answer IMO.make it the same every week and tell the riders to adapt to it.
Bandit59
Interesting to see what Ian Rae says on website but theres other concerns within the side and we will be ironing ALL out long before our next match. Any ideas will Seb come back ?
emilali
Dont think theres any doubt something needs to happen with the track, it seems to go from as bald as the motorway to full of shale and dangerous, riders clearly not enjoying it, just see Cooks tweet and Edbergs facebook message. Its all well and good Scott (bigeddie) telling us its one of the best circuits in world speedway (lol) but its clearly not in the best place right now. I think the idea of Doc Bridgett having an input would be something to consider, makes a good job of Armadale and sure he does Wolves also.

I didnt say change the track every week, and the track has been as you suggest the same every week so far this season, and the riders have shown little signs of adapting. They were slow out of the starts last week against Redcar and were equally slow out of the starts last night against Edinburgh so thats not working either. BRITISHSPEEDPOWER
Yeah of course he was scared, you could see in his Body language when riding the bike that he wasn't interested, didnt want to mix it on the first bend. Yet despite the obvious he's jeered and sworn at by the usual fools on the entry to the back straight, the same ones that would probobly have his babies if he won a race! Talk about getting behind the riders! Shout words of incouragement and he might just get going, you lot just make these guys feel worse than they allready do.
bigeddiechek
Courtesy of Edinburgh Monarchs Speedway http://www.edinburgh...cle.asp?id=1308 A good support travelled down to follow Edinburgh last night home support looked a little sparse (maybe GP night kept a few indoors, perhaps other reasons). First couple of heats were very odd as it looked as if most riders were very tentative on a 'new' surface. Thereafter it was almost completely FTG. Only the scoreline keeping it semi interesting and when Bellego's valiant effort to stem the tide came to heats 13 and 15 even he couldn't stop the flying Cookie and Claus show. Healthy returns from the Cookie and Claus Show, Theo and Wee Joe with the others chipping in a few. For Berwick the star of the show was Bellego with Smith and Wethers helping out against the big boys a bit, Barrett came onto a game but Aspegren was poor and Edberg poorer. I would say that is a pretty accurate precis. One worrying note,Alex Edberg has posted on Facebook,"Was scared today sorry everyone",if that isnt being lost in translation then thats very concerning. The tone of his posts has changed markedly from the pre-season optimism. He looked either scared or disinterested last night. Firstly, that is not good from his personal safety point of view. Secondly, that sort of performance will drive everyone bar the die-hards away in an instant. Aspergren's performance was drawing huge criticism from even the most optimistic fans. Tootling around is one thing we will all agree that nobody will be happy paying for. Even worse to go home to watch a sensational GP. I'm being critical now, because I think it is warranted, and the number of home supporters last night was very worrying. I want speedway at Berwick next season. Cook also tweeted, we won but the main thing is we are all in one piece. I asked Cook what he was concerned about when he was on track. Very decent of him, he came across and said the track was patchy as .... But, people have been shouting out for dirt, we got it, and I guess it will take time for everything to bind together. Interesting to see what Ian Rae says on website but theres other concerns within the side and we will be ironing ALL out long before our next match. Any ideas will Seb come back ? I'm sure the guys behind the scenes will have found Saturday to be very revealing. We have a very two-tone type of team. On a positive note, Bellegeo, Kozza, and Matty were excellent, and saved the night from an entertainment point of view. Barrett clearly didn't fancy the track early on, but had the attitude to figure it out thereafter, so does deserve credit. There you go Robin and Wee Emily, I am not a brown-noser, I just don't have a constant chip on my shoulder like some on here. Teal
I wish folk would let it go about alex's dad getting the racesuits....if Alex was flying and on top form his dads generosity would be the best thing ever...alas the fickle fans strike again!! What's the issue with suits being bought?? Is it a case of jealousy that he can afford to? Jealously that he's supporting his son and the team he's riding for?? Inverted snobbery??? I seriously am struggling here....help me out guys. if you think that's why he's in the team then your all idiots!

One worrying note,Alex Edberg has posted on Facebook,"Was scared today sorry everyone",if that isnt being lost in translation then thats very concerning. Edbergs scores this season with the odd one apart have been poor. Think he failed to score much at Glasgow too? Now if he is scared he needs to bow out. His accidents may have come back to haunt him sadly? The scorelines of other riders home and away would indicate they were happy enough. Totally agree, think its a massive shame whats happened to Alex, I was one of his biggest fans when he first came to Berwick, was agressive on track and could pass. If the injuries hes had have taken there toll then you cant blame the guy as they were horrendous. However if hes now scared, he needs to as you say bow out to avoid causing himself anymore harm or other riders. Your intellect and perspicacity know no bounds Wee Boy. Thankyou Scott

Takes 7 riders to win a meeting....Alex seems to be an easy target!

If it is indeed true that Edberg was "scared" last night then thats very concerning for the team as it puts extra pressure on the other riders especially Barrett who is Edbergs reserve partner. It might be time for Edberg to be stood down from the untill such time he has rediscovered his form and confidence as right now his scoring is no good to man nor team.
