I imagine it will be kept as quiet as possible to get the max amount of fans in then it will be announced before the start.

If the Berwick promotion have shown us anything, it is that they make every effort to tell their public when a rider is going to be missing, through injury or anything else.  Website shows 'probable' line-ups, no doubt there'll be another media brief and website posting before Tuesday.

Bandit59
Bad news David is banned for Tuesday night.Wonder when the club found out maybe someone on here will inform us of that. That imo swings the match in Newcastles favour unless there are more team changes ahead.Adam Mckinna replaces Ludo so i suppose that balances it out a bit.I am very disappointed was hoping both teams would be at full strength with these changes i dont think it will be as good a match i hope i am wrong Edited May 20, 2013 by Bandit59

The fact is that 48 hours before the meeting they have announced it. Many others would not say a thing until the night. Lindgren will be a miss for Newcastle, so I take it he riding in Swedish Leagues?
GLSDiamond
Any news on Robbo and Lewis Kerr ? Could be a patched up team on sky with no Lindgren already confirmed. What a shame as we have this great big stage to show off our tallents to the whole world.
Chewbacca
Understatemnt of the century so far  "Adam McKinna is no Lindgren"  If Robbo and Kerr are missing, I might just not bother
acclennell
Absolute poppy cock the rule for replacing absent riders with national league riders - I can undrstand reserve changes but for riders in the main body of the team it's just stupid in my opinion. This is a showcase event and it's already going to be full of scratched up teams - no wonder crowds are decreasing Edited May 20, 2013 by acclennell

NJC71
You would think given the general state of speedway in this country, not to mention TV contracts up for renewal that the BSPA would show some common sense when it comes to picking matches for TV. Â What on earth are they doing selecting a match between two teams (one of which is already using r/r) on a Tuesday when they know there is a clash with the Swedish league and one or both sides could be hit with absences? I naively assumed they had considered this and there weren't clashes. And why the hell did Newcastle in particular accept the match? For god's sake it's not rocket science it's called planning. Â Surely when selecting a match for TV and basically advertising PL speedway to the sporting public the BSPA have a duty to ensure they pick a match against two evenly matched sides who they can be reasonably sure will be at full strength. You can't ensure any match will be entertaining but at least do your best to reduce the risk of it not being. To have two sides using NL riders to replace a good second-string and a rider who is basically a heat leader is not selling the PL in a good light at all and in my opinion is just not good enough. Without trying to be disrespectful I have no interest in watching a NL rider riding in the top 5 against Edward Kennett. Â It might still be a good match but it might not be. The frustrating thing here is that the BSPA have created this situation themselves, this is not down to external forces that they have no control over it's just awful planning.
Mr Blobby
I don't see how this is the BSPA fault. Is it not sky who pick the matches they want to cover??
