wandersome
Hoping the weather is better than today  hoping the team is as well!  well, this thread ain't really taking off is it? maybe 'the timings' right for a prominent member of the Leicester backroom staff to come back on here to start threatening violence on robert72 again or else for someone, who may or may not be the same person, to get back to censoring all his members LSSC facebook posts again. Come on, we need something to work with, we can't do it all ourselves.  Mick. Edited April 12, 2013 by volty

wandersome
I've thought about how to say this as i don't want to appear to be just have a dig for the sake of it as some would believe me to be in the business of, but i watched the whole of thursday nights Sheffield meeting from the edge of the pits and I did notice Hemsley appeared half way through and began getting more and more involved in the pits. It didn't really appear to be in an interacting, getting behind the lads and the manager kind of way either but more in a interfering kind of way, much like he has been inclined to in previous years. I don't think anything ruins a team morale more than a promoter undermining the decision making processes if that was what it actually was. But that's certainly what looked to be happening to me. I wonder if the same happened last night in Edinburgh. Maybe that's one of the major issues we have.
SCOTLAND1314
Edinburgh Monarchs appear to have hit the ground running so far this season. Â The Monarchs took Leicester to the wire last season at home, will the Monarchs take one step further and convert to an away win? Â Or will Leicester Lions fight back and regain a bit of pride (pun intended). Â Much could depend on how well wee Joe Tabaka and bike have recovered from last night's tumble, with bike coming off second best. Â Good luck to both teams and let's hope there is some good entertainment on show.
flagrag
Looking at the forecast I have a feeling the weather may be the winner tonight with big belt of rain planned for Leicester from 16:00 to 22:00 hopefully that is wrong and the meeting can go ahead

Mr Blobby
Sounds like the boys got of to a slow start and it didn't look to good in the first half of the meeting but as the track dried out they seemed to get better and better. Done well to get it back to 2. Â Now back up the road to pump these tiggers at trashfield tomorrow.

justathought
Fair play to Edinburgh. Â I did actually think we were going to do it at one stage but it then all went Pete Tong. It was always going to be difficult to pull back that amount of points I guess. And believe it or not I did rather enjoy the meeting especially in the early stages. Â We really do need to improve our away form. Â Once again well done Edinburgh.

wandersome
Chuffed for Doolan over the last few nights. Shows what a bit of positive thought and action from rider and fans alike can do (note to Dave Darcy). Pity we capitulated towards the end after at one point around heat 9 actually appearing to having a bit of a tickle at cup progress. It went out with a wimper when Bjerre got bogged down trying the outside of bend 3 and everyone seem to lose interest from that point. First time i've seen Fricke and he looked amazing for a 16 year-old riding at 4! Track was obviously a little tricky tonight but no passing at all. not even a chance of a pass (i'm not sure if i've mentioned this before but personally i think the shape might be an issue). Graversen had it going on for us this time, and Bjerre looked good until he lost interest round 3/4. Nieminen and Karlsson still look a yard short of where you hope they'd be and Blackbird has had a struggle of a week by the looks of it. Nielsen though, and this shouldn't be seen as a dig at him, has clearly lost all confidence and i'm not sure him carrying on in the team at this moment is doing anyone any good. I'm not sure you could say a good race win might bring it back, he looks a long way off mixing it. Â anyways, 135 post 1st/2nd bend laps, 0 genuine passes. Â Nope , he is definately staying. Â I can see the like button but i'm struggling the locate the not like one. Â Mick. Edited April 13, 2013 by volty

flagrag
As was said in the interview with Glyn after the meeting the performances of some riders of the past week has not been acceptable and that you may be seeing some team changes over the next week. Kauko- Does not seem to be the rider we have seen before looks not so fast and had quite few engine problems. Graverson - Generally does ok at home if he gates but away form is the same as last few seasons he struggles. Lasse- Looks good and would say better than last season. Doolan- He has had a good week and I was impressed with him tonight he looked good and hear was the best of the Lions at Edinburgh. Karlsson- Just don't think he is the rider he was and think Roynon when fit will do better. Nielsen- He seems to really struggling with confidence and not wanting to mix it in the turns. Blackbird- Is doing what you would expect from rider doubling up from NL has good races and keeps picking up points. Â The Big question is who do you replace it's unlikely there is any 4pt riders out there to replace Nielsen, You bring somebody in to replace Magnus but what happens in a few weeks when Roynon is fit especially if riding well in the Elite league. Lasse and Doolan are doing ok and seem to have good partnership together as well as scoring expected points. Then you have Kauko who is not performing and scoring points like an out and out no one but is adored by the fans and is Mr Leicester. That leaves Graverson and Blackbird the latter is best you can expect on that average if you dropped Graverson and Nielsen could you bring a better rider in and then have another 3pt reserve ? We shall have to see what the club do in the week it may be just a thing to fire the riders up if think team changes may be happening so they improve performances. I was impressed with Fricke as well and interesting that he mentioned in an interview before that Leicester wold have been a good home track base for him well done Edinburgh in signing him up did well at that no and I'm sure once at reserve will be scoring even more points.
