A ORLOV
WHICH track will have its new stadium first... Belle Vue or Swindon? Both are unlikely to be built . Belle Vue I reckon. It's, I believe, further down the Council Track for Planning etc. According to a report from Terry Russel the diggers are moving in this week, so Swindon, but I wait to see. If it is the case I hope the machines have floats and not tracks. Edited February 5, 2014 by A ORLOV
MattK
Belle Vue I reckon. It's, I believe, further down the Council Track for Planning etc. Swindon's stadium has already been granted outline planning permission, however as Orion says, it will never be built. Belle Vue haven't even applied for planning permission yet, unless someone can say otherwise.

Swindon - so I guess I am wrong. I am still certain that the National Stadium WILL be built though.
pandorum
Sky reported a year ago that BV would be riding in a new stadium next (this) year. But of course they won't be unless the builders work weekends and have a time machine. Still can buys bricks and pavers though. Been going on so long now it's chances are pretty slim. I have seen dozens of projects like this come across my desk and then quietly dissapear. Hope it happens of course but it looks less likely as every year has gone past. BWitcher
Cradley. :-) No need for Wolves reserves to move from their current base while they're making so much money. Plus getting the future Wolves riders used to the Monmore track is of great value to the senior team

BWitcher
Just to add Martin, I would like nothing more than to see Cradley back racing Wolves in the top flight, ideally on their own track.. but even at Monmore it would work if the will was there. It was something that should have been done back in 1996.
martin_t
I don't mind them racing at Monmore tbh, only 10 minutes away from me.But a place of our own would be nice....providing it was only 10 minute away :-)

Work has commenced to built houses on the land around the current track. Let's wait and see when they start work on the actual stadium.

phillipsr
Neither will be built. Have to question the point of building a 6000 seater stadium when it will have two men and a dog in it on all but two weeks of the year
