Polish Play-off Final & 3rd Place On Tv Sunday 22nd September

Recommended Posts

well 2 really good meetings with some big names seemingly forgetting how to ride a speedway bike and some bit players coming up with awesome performances.

The usual whingers on the EL section would still find something to moan about with this league but when it's HOT it is HOT.

See you folks in 2 weeks time enjoy your speedway :)

Great win for ZG, I think Emil's ears will be burning tonight after his bad day at the office!

Really watchable match, top racing, roll on next week - GP & league racing to enjoy.

Can someone tell me, when they toss-up for gate positions, does either manager call heads/tails, or does the official just flip the coin? Some of todays fare was world class, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Was some good racing

You actually asked this question before under " Polish query thread " Mama our Polish forum friend answered as follows

Not exactly ... There is a coin toss during riders presentation before the match and it determines "zestaw 1" or "zestaw 2" will be used ... Teames/riders have nothing to say/choose.

I am assuming that everyone is told that heads is column 1 tails column 2 or the other way round possibly !

Ahh thanks R&R - I don't think I came back to the thread after your answer

I've watched all the matches this season but only noticed that no-one seemed to call yesterday. The token came up with a 1, so it must be 1 or 2 rather than heads/tails.

And I finally worked out why my bonus points totals don't always tie in with the official scores as well. That info's probably posted elsewhere as well but don't ruin my sense of achievement :D

Let me guess-in shared heats bonus points are only paid if there are 4 finishers.

If Ghostwalker's post on the Czech Rep/Poland thread is correct in that Adrian Miedzinski is to remain in hospital, is there any news on how Torun will cover for him & Ward at Rzeszow tomorrow afternoon?

Thanks R&R. Kennett seems to have gone off the boil a bit in recent weeks, hopefully he does a decent job. If Torun had been at home I'm guessing they would have fielded both Pulczynski brothers as Emil is particularly good at home? Holder & Przedpelski are in great form right now, Gollob has to fire for Torun to get close to Rzeszow tomorrow I think.

Looking forward to tomorrow's action from Poland - maybe racing as good as Czestochowa last week might be too much to ask for though!!

Should be great atmosphere at ZG for the local derby, Jonsson looking in better form recently, Pepe & Hampel going well too. ZG should have enough to beat Iversen & Kasprzak's Gorzow imo - prediction 51-39.

Have been to Wroclaw twice & watched matches there online, never seemed a particularly great racetrack to me. Hopefully tomorrow will prove me wrong & there'll be some great racing. Though I think the Bulls have a solid looking 1-7, Tai has stated on Twitter this morning that he will race for Wroclaw - for me that'll give that'll give the home side a big boost - prediction home win 48-42.

Zielona Gora - Gorzow classic derby match- racing should be good as well as atmosphere fans of those 2 team really detest one another here is a video of last year derby Gorzow fans at Zielona Gora

and another video on the topic of todays matches Leszno fans 2 buses at Wroclaw being escorted to the stadium (Wroclaw and Leszno its almost like a derby match)
I bet you don't see scenes like that in UK speedway but that's maybe good.

No NEVER thank goodness, how sad! But that passion keeps speedway at the top of the tree in your country eh!!!!

Is it just because of the speedway or wouldn't ordinary people shop for instance in each others city without problems?

I love your patriotism, how fantastic it was to watch everyone singing the National Anthem at Gorzow last night B-)

Certainly the atmosphere at Zielona Gora will be Hostile-would have preferred it to have been the later match as the conditions seem to be better as the heat lessens.Wroclaw certainly not my favourite race track in Poland but it was a better match there than normal when on earlier in the season. Will Ty ride ??

Just out of interest R & R, what would be your top 3 Polish tracks?
