cityrebel
tomorrow afternoon sees rye take on ipswich in the opening meeting of the season at the launch pad. it's gonna be cold, so wrap up warm!
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Looking at how it went at Foxhall you would expect a home win by about 10 points. The Witches will need to show that the cobwebs have been well and truly blown away in order to pick up anything. So that said my prediction - Rye 43 Witches 47. If you cant be optimistic at the start of the season when can you be!!
hackneyrocket
It's good to be optimistic! but im going to stick my neck out and go for a Rye home win by 10. Apart from Barker and Lanham cant see to many big point scorers.
aljack
On the evidence of what we see at freezing foxhall Friday, I can only see a Rye House win Im afraid. Its not being pessimistic but just being a realist as the Witches looked weak in the middle order with Makinen and Risager scoring only 5 points between them. Ive been saying all pre-season that these were the Witches most vulnerable positions in the team.
Shadders
Can't say I share the views of most. Barker will be hard to beat and Lanham loves the Rye House track. Unlike Ipswich, the gates won't determine who wins a race. Could go either way

Could go either way Well our boys have got to be gating better than they did on Friday then!!!Jari and Adam aside though, the lads have all had plenty of laps round Dry Hose, just not this year , in fact they haven't had many laps anywhere yet!! bolly
I was thinking of changing my viewing position this year. Maybe I will stand with 2 or 3 of my tallest mates about a third of the way along the tempstand, One step down from the back I'm always up for a bit of banter with the local postie

Rockets
It is funny how times change. It seems like only yesterday when Ipswich fell from the EL and moaned like hell about the lack of racing after their first visit to Rye House. Now we have four of the best young racing talents in the country coming through at Rye and a track that I suspect will be prepared to display their talents . If I was an Ipswich fan I would come tomorrow just to see some decent racing. It will be a long season for them.

Bryn
Is there anyone going to the meeting from the Kent side of the Thames via the Dartford tunnel with a spare seat in their vehicle that could possible give me a lift there and back - will pay petrol and tunnel/bridge fees obviously! If there IS anyone who can help would very much appreciate it and if you can indeed help, please phone me on 07774 935468. Bryn
