Plymouth V Somerset 30.03.13

Recommended Posts

Good luck to the Rebels tonight in the reverse fixture from last night.A handy 16 point lead in the bag for the Rebels ,I don`t expect them to lose the overall lead, but tonight should be a lot closer.I think Kurtz will be a key player tonight as he goes well around the Arena, not sure Proctor and Kling will be that effective, therefore Cory and Lemo will have to lead from the front.

For the Rebels it will just be a case of carry on I feel, Doyle and Morris will lead the charge again and hopefully Kyle,Alex and Josh can continue their fine form from last night.

As usual hope all riders stay safe and don`t take any unnecessary risks.

I don't want to blow his trumpet too much Cliffe, but Alex looked the real deal yesterday. After watching him at Poole in the morning where he looked not only determined but looked completely at home in Elite League surroundings and was mixing it in the first turns too. I had high hopes for him last night and he didn't let us down, when he missed the start he was straight in the dirt and looked mega impressive. I know he's not faired too well when I've seen him down Plymouth before so tonight will be interesting - I said over the winter he needs to be around the 7 mark for us to have a good season and I know it's early doors but he looks on the right path.

Kyle equally was as impressive last night, passing people inside and outside for fun, and has previously showed a liking for the tricky Plymouth track. Another real test for him tonight though as now he's a second string it will be interesting to see what he can contribute whilst not having the joy of being at reserve. Nick's going to be one of the League's top performers for sure this year and on a few occasions last night could of done with the track being that little bit bigger as he makes Claus Vissing look boring.. so tonight could get fun!

Comfortable away win tonight.

Somerset have far too much strength in depth for the new look Devils.

Kling was an exceptional guest last season,so hopefully can continue in that vein.

Proctor and Schramm need time to settle.Kurtz will score a fistful of points,Reade will struggle again.Which Gathercole will turn up tonight? Red hot or so so?

Newman has enjoyed good meetings down here,so will prove good back up to Doyle and Morris.

Davies has hit the ground at 100 miles an hour,if his performance at Poole and Somerset are as impressive as they sound.

Rebels to win by 8-10 points.

Enjoyed last night was a good crack. The track was a tad bumpy which of course resulted in a few falls. For plymouth schramm, gathercole and kurtz rode well. Proctor and lemon need more time to bed in though. While reade looks capable.

For us rebels doyle, davies and morris looked good nielsen also lookec capable and maybe could have won had he not fallen while in good positions. Newman, perry and grajczonek can all do better.

I did enjoy the banter between us rebels and the devil and the commentator though. That was such a laugh.
