Berwick V Edinburgh 30th March @ 7pm

What's the chances of this going ahead?

Is the weather forecast favourable?

Thanks in advance.

Weathers been reasonably settled for the last couple of days in Berwick,we`ve had the odd snow flurry but its been mostly dry.Forecast for tomorrow is decent,it will be dry all day with some sunshine but an easterly wind will keep things cool.

So all in all I think this meeting will go ahead no problem.

Thoroughly enjoyed last night. Some good racing, especially considering it is a season opening challenge.

Good crowd, on a freezing night, and some welcome changes that clearly show - once again - that the guys running Berwick Speedway listen to the fans who actually make the effort to talk to them!

It must have been good, because the usual lunatics have not appeared on here to knock it.

The race of the night was surely when Matty held of Cookie on that showing Cookie must have a great chance of retaining his PLRC.My good deed for the night was when getting a coffee a lady Monarch asked if there were any good chippies in Berwick so i promptly gave her directions to Mr Smiths so hope she enjoyed it.

Fairly processional racing mixed in with a few decent races. Highlights for me were Vissing chasing down Nicki Barrett and Robin Aspegren off 15m then Matty Wethers holding off Craig Cook.

Both teams look solid from top to bottom this year. For Berwick, we were solid 3-5. Both reserves looked rusty, as did David but got going later in the meeting. Wonder if Ricky was still suffering from mechanical problems, seemed slower than usual.

For Edinburgh, Craig Cook was head and shoulders the best rider on show and on this form will be the man to beat in the league this year. Ably backed up by Claus Vissing and Theo Piper. However, the real trump card was Joe Tabaka who looked very quick indeed. Guessing longer term plan would involve him moving into the main body of the team allowing for Max Fricke to spend some time at reserve.

From a presentation point of view, fantastic to see an old style parade again! Hats off to the entire promotion for such a massive focus on moving the race night experience forward.
