EC Rides Again
Cook and sneddon at Edinburgh and Hall, stead and Haines at Sheffield. Glad the draw has been fair and random for a change Trying to suit teams that have fixtures on the same night as the semis is a priority, so keeping riders at their home tracks rather than sending them to another semi and maybe missing their club matches makes a lot of sense. Ipswich must be thrilled that Barker and Lanham are missing their matches on the same night of the semis!

brewer
at last! the split was pretty much as expected, just a case of which of the top boys went where, no complaints on that. Â just the 2 wildcard spots being kept back for the final, sorry this is called a qualifier, that is its purpose to qualify, s**t happens sometimes and if that means that someone who possibly should doesnt get through then hard luck, thats the way the cookie crumbles so to speak, not, oh dont worry if you miss agate or you have ef or maybe the ref excludes you, we got a place lined up for you in the final anyway, shock horror if for example scott, bomber and tai all fail to qualify for any of these reasons, which 2 get the w/c places, if all who are expected to go through do so who gets the w/c, (no offence to anyone here) but does adam roynon, jason bunyan, simon lambert etc , if fit at time of final get a spot. where does it start and end, imo top 8 into final no b/s wildcards. SCB
You would think as one of the top 16 Brits in the averages (probably top 8) that Adam would be a certainty for a wild card. Injury is bad luck on the riders part, a fall or EF is poor skill or prep.

mdmc82
Surprised that the British Final is on the anniversary of Rico's death
Boobs
Surprised that the British Final is on the anniversary of Rico's death  Why? Every day is an anniversary of something. Having a prestige meeting on this date is actually an opportunity for Lee to be mentioned, rather than forgotten.  But to be "surprised" is a bit naive. IMO. Fromafar
No disrespect to the riders concerned but the standard and strength in depth of British Speedway has certainly nosedived in the last few years.

Just look at the averages in the Elite League. No where near the amount of 10 point men as in the past!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
crescent girl
No country can do more than offer its best riders for its National Championship. As long as the UK continues to allow overseas, especially EU, riders to pollute our league racing, British talent will be stifled.

Do foreign riders pollute our league racing ,I'm sure a lot of fans would disagree with that statement.

LagutaRacingFan
Why is the final always at Wolves? Â Woffinden seems to choke every year under the pressure.
stratton
Why is the final always at Wolves? Â Woffinden seems to choke every year under the pressure. I agree for once i wish it was shared around it is certainly an advantage for Woffinden. What about, Somerset,Workington,Scunthorpe,Peterborough,Sheffield? i know people will say about the facilities but Wolves will hardly attract a mega crowd it usually is a decent one though.
