spin king
Some very interesting predictions in this week Speedway Star this week. None more so than the Ipswich correspondent, who seems to have a totally different outlook to the rest for next seasons Premier League.. Sheffield 4th Somerset 8th Scunthorpe 13th To be fair I hope he is correct with the Sheffield prediction. But somebody please get me glass of what Elvin King has been drinking.

Oafski
They're wildly inaccurate, they've got Rye House down at 11th when it's obvious "Generation Next" are going to be in the top
szkocjasid
I was surprised Ipswich (3rd) and Scunthorpe (4th) were picked as high as they were, i was also surprised Edinburgh (7th) Berwick (8th) and Redcar (10th) we placed so low, i really rate those three teams! I was amazed Redcar were so low. I had a top 3 of Somerset, Redcar and Edinburgh personally. Mind you, they have Poole top in the EL, God only knows how! Roger Jacobs
Not sure what Elvin King has been on ... I thought he had retired . 10 of the reviewers have got the Rabbles first or second. Graham Hambly for Plymouth says 6th (one less bottle than Elvin!), and Somerset's Ian Belcher says 4th . In an idle few mins I have totalled the various PL predictions and found these average reviewer scores: Somerset : 2.46 Leicester : 3.31 Ipswich : 4.38 Scunthorpe : 4.69 Workington : 5.00 Newcastle : 5.46 Edinburgh : 5.92 Berwick : 8.23 Plymouth : 8.38 Redcar : 9.77 Rye House : 10.62 Sheffield : 10.92 Glasgow : 11.85 Edited March 23, 2013 by Roger Jacobs
Bryn
The tone of the last three or four postings on this thread have suggested disagreement with the predictions in the Speedway Star and people are perfectly entitled to do that BUT what about posters having a go and making their OWN predictions/guesses/callitwhatyouwill and posting them here? Even if they ultimately prove to be completely wrong, you have the cover of your 'forum name' so come on, don't be shy, GO FOR IT! Roger Jacobs
Dave Love, also known as "Lovey" (Forum Name: Roger Jacobs - Twitter: @stegglesaurus) 1. Somerset 2. Leicester 3. Scunthorpe 4. Ipswich 5. Newcastle 6. Rye House 7. Workington 8. Plymouth 9. Berwick 10. Edinburgh 11. Redcar 12. Sheffield 13. Glasgow
Bryn
"Good on ya Dave," as my Aussie mates would say. Let's hope you're the first of many who'll respond to the challenge.
SCB
I'd struggle to give a full run down as I've not looked at closesy at most teams but something like thsi doesn't seem unreasonable 1. Somerset 2. Edinburgh 3. Redcar 4. Plymouth (a bit sort of wildcard style. could just as easily 10th, a few risks but I think generally worth taking) 5. Newcastle 6. Ipswich 7. Scunthorpe 8. Leicester 9. Workington 10. Berwick 11= Rye House 11= Sheffield 11= Glasgow I've put the bottom 3 as joint last simply as they're all terrible and all 3 will have to make changes and once you make changes, anything can happen. After the top 3 and bottom 3 I don't think theres a massive amount in it for most teams. Last year was the first time in about 10 years I've not got the PL winners right, in my defence I predicted Newport (with Somerset 2nd) and Scunthorpe made some pretty big changes. RedcarRacer
To be fair to SS it does have Redcar as dark horses, totally depends on Ostergaard and Kus really they could either by 9 point men or 7 point men. But that is the joys of predictions - would love us to be play-off contenders but not sure I can see it.

Given that impressive previous record, it'll be interesting to see if you get it right this year! Will be interesting to see given the amount of postings all leagues (not only the PL) prompt on this and other forums, just how many regular contributors will 'put their neck on the line' as it were and predict finishing orders - and to see who gets closest! screm
1 Somerset 2 Leicester 3 Ipswich 4 Scunthorpe 5 Newcastle 6 Workington 7 Redcar 8 Berwick 9 Edinburgh 10 Plymouth 11 Rye House 12 Sheffield 13 Glasgow To be honest I couldve put my top three in any order, and much the same for positions four to eleven.Sadly I cant get Sheffield nor Glasgow out of the bottom two. However a couple of team changes for those two and they could quite easily climb the PL,for example if Vissing`s off to Edinburgh and Masters gets his visa sorted out then theres a top scoring rider sitting on the sidelines who could improve those teams no end.
