speedibee
I dont normally bother with the forum these days Simon but i wanted to put you right on your post here. Nick Mallett- It was actually myself that made the call to Nick and asked him to ride for the Vikings and not his "mate" as you put it. I have always got pn with Nick and found him very helpfull when we ran the Scandinavian touring team a few years ago. He has assured me of his commitment and is a very popular figure with his team mates which will boost team morale. Sheffield - Have taken a 1 year break from the MDL in order to give their new PL riders extra track time to practice after meetings with ehat limited time they have available. Scunthorpe - Have decided not to run the stags as they have limited dates available to run 2 MDL teams. They will also be staging NL/MDL style 15 heat meetings. I think one is best to know the full facts before making assumptions I don't usually bother with the MDL threads any more Kelvin , as you seem to simply be making up the rules of MDL competitions to suit your own purposes as in the case of Nick Mallett being a second string well actually even being eligible for MDL , although in this instance you can hardly be blamed for making up the rules as you go along since there are none , the very premise of this competition right from the start was that the "CO-Ordinators" would choose who "they" deemed was suitable for this competition . hardly a professional way to decide who is eligible in the first place , and since both of you are connected with Cov -Mercia would only lead to you favouring your own riders , thats fair enough for me , but you cannot expect to do these things with Impunity and there will always be someone who will challenge your unfair practises . I never said I was going to please everyone Simon but Nick is allowed to ride in the MDL as per the rules decided by SCB and not messers Lapworth and Rogers

To me a 2nd string is someone who isn't a heat leader and isn't a reserve. we don't have reserves in the MDL and coventry's heat leaders are the 2 national league riders, martin and tyler, so that would therefore make Nick a 2nd string! "carry on pleasing myself" that sounds a bit wrong for a family forum Simon

I never said His mate I said who his friends are !!! shows you thinking better than anything else could
SarahLapworth
The opening round of the GP at Coventry has now been switched from April 26th to Monday 6th May. A press release about the heat format and points system will be issued this week. We are just awaiting confirmation of a possible extra round. BuxtonTiger
Well that all appears to be fun banter. What does it matter who rides in what, nowadays the chances of any racing after the "main match" appear very restricted - so anyone on any track racing is better than nothing. - Stop squabbling !!
Richspeedway
Steering the conversation back to plot good to see Coventry doing something for the youngsters and riders who just looking to get out there and get track time when most tracks are unable to do this for curfew reasons etc.
