Commencing this coming Sunday (March 24th) the club are holding a series of training schools at Brandon aimed at not only giving youngsters track time but developing riders for the Vikings and Storm then eventually the Bees. The sessions will have a sign on time of 9am with the aim to be out on track from around 9.30 until 1.30pm. The cost will be £35 and day licences will be available if required. Bookings can be made , as the numbers will be restricted to allow as much track time as possible, by texting 07510768392 or 07801429304 or e-mail : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk The dates when the schools can be run are determined by other activities at the Stadium especially any car racing on the Saturday night and a full list will be released soon but the next session planned after 24th March will be Sunday April 21st at the same times. Main Man
Just had message through that unfortunately with the weather against us Sunday's Training Shool / Open Practice at Coventry is OFF. What a pity as we had 40 riders booked in and it would have been a really good session. Bookings coming in quickly for next one on Sunday April 21st so if you want to get your name down txt me on 07510768392 or07801429304 or e-mail : laurencerogers@blueyonder.co.uk

Main Man
Yes Rich --very welcome . Might get you to buy a raffle ticket for the Storm Coat that City Gearboxes have sponsored and are raffling one off with proceeds towards the Storm team
Main Man
Pity about the weather robbing us of the Coventry meeting Friday and the practice Sunday but an amazing response already for the next one on Sun April 21st with 25 riders already booked in so this looking like having the FULL sign on very soon. Augers well for the summer (!!) sessions hopefully.
richardp5008
Hi there, just read your first post and this is exactly what I'm looking to get involved with, my ambition is to one day get into the national league, and with some coaching i think it will really help, are the dates for the school at Brandon for people with there own equipment? I am yet to get my own gear so just wanted to know if it was just based on people with their own gear?
Main Man
It is for riders with own equipment at the moment but we hope to develop the opportunity for those without eventually

Main Man
Good day's training --well done to one and all. Here's to wishing young Mitchell Beckett a swift recovery from his hand injry.
*JJ
Good day's training --well done to one and all. Here's to wishing young Mitchell Beckett a swift recovery from his hand injry. Indeed. Two points, though; first, the queue kept retreating back until it was in the pits. Couldn't someone get the riders to move up? Second, couldn't you have told us that there was going to be a lunch break? Otherwise, my protege had a mixed day; two very good rides in which he slid the bike well, one where his steel shoe came off (we laughed as he kicked it across the centre gravel), a visit to the air fence and the chain coming off! Thanks for the session.
wayne b
Good day's training --well done to one and all. Here's to wishing young Mitchell Beckett a swift recovery from his hand injry. Some good news and some bad regarding Mitchell. He has broken a metacarpal bone in his hand but has got away with having a cast on so no op needed. Also he is going to miss at least the first 2 rounds of the British Youth Championship

Thanks for the session. JJ --my biggest problem was not having enough volunteers to help (and a BIG Thank You to those who did step forward to help) >> I was trying to be in three places at once and at the end had to take the red flag on the centre as Dan Gilkes' mum had to leave after Dan blew an engine . It was the first one I had done at Coventry and although it all went well and everyone was pleased there were certain areas I now know I have to plug and improve on. The queue bit will be sorted with the barriers moved further down next time . And what lunch break -it wasn't planned !!! My flag marshalls all went to get a cup of tea and a quick comfort break whilst the track was watered but when I got them back I suddenly realised the medical staff had gone for theirs too!! Bad news on young Mitchell ---- get well soon young man>>>>>and well done for not making a fuss despite clearly being in pain after your crash!
