aljack
congratulations on a fair assessment. and your accusations for how he got his spot are unfounded so stop banging on bout it. . Im so pleased you think my assessment was fair can you prove your second point regarding Risager??? Otherwise I think my assessment of him is perfectly justified. Shadders
I'd say he was right to be annoyed if you got there after him and went in front of him and blocked his view That's not "having a run in with a home fan", that's being ignorant and expecting other people to put up with it IF we'd got there after him

Where do you propose people stand then? Sitting on terracing is asking for trouble, if you want to sit then do it at the front.
Super Blue
We had this standing/sitting debate when Mr Snackett used to post on here . My personal opinion still remain the same . Anyone who arrives later than those already there can only be described as an " Inconsiderate Ignorant Tw*t " if they then block that persons view ! And anybody who thinks otherwise is a moron . StormMarketing
I think there is no argument now at Foxhall, if you want to "SIT" either do so at the front, or go and sit in the granstands, those who turn up early doors with their deck chairs then errect them at the back of the terracing is quite frankly an idiot.

There are some of us that take chairs and then stand to watch the races, its never been a problem, they are terraces after all. I would think most adults can stand for the odd minute or so. Arch Stanton
So if someone gets there early, sits at the top of the banking, you're saying that nobody can stand in front? Not directly in front of someone sitting no! There is simply no excuse for that. Foxhall can hold 10,000 people and it isn't the 70's where the place was packed to the rafters. If you turn up and then go and stand directly in front of someone who is sitting in a chair blocking their view, no matter where they are sitting, then that is ignorant plain and simple when there is so much space around the entire stadium to stand without blocking someone's view. If you're standing and then someone comes and puts up their chair directly behind you and then asks you to move, then that is a different kettle of fish.

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
I think it says a lot about the meeting that 'chairgate' holds sway over comment about the racing!

WRONG . The only Idiot's are the ones who top up late and block the view of others when there's plenty of other places to go and not disturb anyone ! BluPanther
Is this debate about watching speedway or going to the theatre.
Arch Stanton
I think it says a lot about the meeting that 'chairgate' holds sway over comment about the racing! It was pretty poor to be fair wasn't it. Not a great deal to get excited about in all honesty. Wasn't really expecting a classic either with the difficulties the track staff must have endured. CardinalSin
It wasn't a classic no as the track was understandably very slick. Anyone trying the wide line wasn't really getting anywhere but that will come in the coming weeks no doubt.
bolly
When I got to the stadium, I saw Shadders and a couple of other Rye House fans standing at the bottom of the terracing and there was nobody in chairs for at least 5 or 6 steps behind them. Otherwise I think my assessment of him is perfectly justified. I like how you've edited my post to suit . By my second point I'm assuming you mean about him getting his team spot. because if that was the case, josh bates would also be in the team a he is also dating a Miss Louis, n you can't show favourites with your children. And by fair, i mean not jumping on anyones back n completely slating them like in previous seasons. Edited March 31, 2013 by tcoz88
2ndbendbeerhut
If you want to sit then why put it on the top step? You are then making it difficult for anyone to stand on any of the steps below. What if everyone who got there 1st put chairs around the whole of the top steps, where would people stand? On the other hand I'd be peeved if someone stood in front of me but as manners seem a thing of the past nothing would surprise me!
Aries
Has Heeps been taking gating lessons over the winter? Last year he made Marcin Rempala look a rapid gater, but on Good Friday he was trapping like a good un!
TheSpecialOne
It used to be said that happiness was 40-38. Clearly 46-44 doesn't have the same impact on some folk! Hola señor bocadillo
