Backless
MCF and UK Speedway Series people take note: your attempt to get something up & running apparently failed due to lack of planning & agreement with the authorities. Pretty half hearted effort guys - THIS is how to TOTALLY screw things up - but this ability only comes with years of experience lol.

They did communicate with each other as that's how they found out it was flawed. Not fair criticism.
The Know
DENMARK have now joined Sweden in pulling out of the proposed Champions League for 2013 which just leaves Great Britain. Nothing wrong with the basic concept but until all the practicalities are resolved it will remain a pipe dream in my opinion. Yep, thats speedway Maybe should of tried to get France in it, heard Mickey has a bit spare time these days
rob tatum
What an embarrassing shambles seems to sum up the way our sport is run.
salty
Would have been far better to have kept schtum about the whole thing until everything was ironed out. Two winters in a row we have had to read about how it's going to be a great addition to the calendar, then twice its been knocked on the head. Pitiful. Two winters in a row we have had to read about how it's going to be a great addition to the calendar, then twice its been knocked on the head. Pitiful. That's what is frustrating. Not that the discussions were known about, but the impression two years running that it was going to happen. Did I hear that Sky were going to broadcast the matches. If true another nail ..... The concept was obviously flawed, but I have no problems with the discussions, just the fact it was announced as happening. For Swindon, not sure, as they don't seem to do assets!! What about Adrian Miedzinski, or were Poole going to use him on loan as he was only needed for part of the season !!!
f-s-p
Next on the FIM agenda is re-introducing FIM Best pairs. It's already in this years rulebook. Another noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo-goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

What part of the UK Speedway Series concept was "flawed" other than the BSPA not allowing it to be run on their tracks (as that's what you've highlighted)? Still, whatever.... the problems, however you want to interpret them were pretty minor in comparison to the stupendous falling apart of this "concept". KA-BOOOOOM! Speedway made to look like something akin to the clowns' car at the circus with the doors falling off. Still, at least Sky weren't briefed about the Champions League - otherwise they would have mentioned plans to cover it. After all, what with the EL contract up for renewal, the SGPs already having (apparently) been dropped, the BSPA need to come accross as organised & working together with their foreign counterparts will be good. Uh-Oh.... Hang on..... KA-BOOOOOM! "Hey Coco! Your car bonnet just blew off too!"

What part of the UK Speedway Series concept was "flawed" other than the BSPA not allowing it to be run on their tracks (as that's what you've highlighted)? My 'flawed' comment referred to the new Euro League but you knew that anyway. The UK Speedway Series has been well discussed and the rest of us have moved on, try it. Still, whatever.... the problems, however you want to interpret them were pretty minor in comparison to the stupendous falling apart of this "concept". KA-BOOOOOM! Uh-Oh.... Hang on..... KA-BOOOOOM! "Hey Coco! Your car bonnet just blew off too!" For the last two years there has been lots of discussions about the Euro League, especially the difficulties of riders riding for who and payrates. Progress was thought to have been made and obviously SKY would have been involved to make the concept viable and publicised. Unfortunately it appears the problems can't be resolved hence the admission now. Not a good idea IMO but these things are worth trying. Please note I have tried to be adult in my reply to you, unlike your response Bob.

ch958
What a fantastic contribution to the topic to be fair i think he's missed the point of the joke which is for it to be sung to the tune of Tom Hark when beating a top 4 premiership team. As a Middlesbrough FC fan i wouldn't know how that felt Now lets all be a bit nicer
g13webb
A European League is the last thing we need. Like everything else, it is a pipe dream based on personal benefits. This will not benefit British speedway. We want to concentrate on our own league and learn to WALK first, When we've done that, we can then try to RUN ...... On the face of it, we are the weakest nation of the 4 but the only one that puts any importance in this scheme..... What's that tell you?????
