Middleditch Must Go - New Gb Boss Needed

Recommended Posts

I haven't yet received my copy of the Speedway Star, but if as reported Middleditch has clarified his position with some sensible comments that is a good thing. Despite a minority few harping on I had a vendetta against him, all I was suggesting was this would be his best course of action.

Starman2006 - don't let the keyboard warriors grind you down, if only they all knew middlo the way you know middlo! He's told people he was misquoted, but nooo that's not enough for some, what a cheek expecting him to explain exactly what he said/meant!

Don't worry mate i won't. Neils a very decent person and a very good team manager. And the only reason he doesn't do better as Team GB manager level is that he doesn't have the riders at his disposal.

There are riders out there that are capable of becoming international Team GB riders, but do they, really have any Ambition?

Goes back to what i keep saying, if you have abillity in your choosen sport you maximise it and be the very best you can. But perhaps some don't want to and are quite content to earn a wage every week and not go any further.. which if is the case they ought to be ashamed of themselves, and a stupid attitude to have.

There are some very sensible and well-balanced comments from Muddlo in this weeks SS. Pity he didn't come out with them earlier instead of the original garbage. if he had, this thread would not have happened.

And yet you are still very happy to take a swipe at Neil rather than our Local Rag...

OK so start the debate - what makes you think Middlo is a good manager for GB?

What specifically did you not agree with in SCB's post?

I do believe whoever is the manager of GB is on a hiding to nothing, unless you are god.We are lacking in quality rider wise and in my lifetime the good old days at WTC level has gone.

Indeed. We do not have the depth or back up of years gone by to seriously win a final again for quite some time.

However GB deserves a boss who wont be misquoted and at least back up a rather inflammatory remark.

repeat a queensland rag report without checking all the facts first??

Middleditch's latest, rational, comments just published in the Star seemed to have moved us a little beyond the discussion of him being misquoted or not in the Poole Echo.

But your post here seems to muddy the waters further.

This entire thread was discussing the Echo's publication of an interview they did with Middleditch after the incident had been reported in Australia.

The Queensland paper has never, to my knowledge, been implicated as the source of that quote.

Which just shows that Middleditch's comment has not been confined to these shores... Queensland readers now have an insight into Middleditch's thoughts and opinions on today's youth in the UK... Not good...

I have done interveiws with the echo before, both for speedway and work. these are always recorded so if the echo is standing by their version and neil has taken no action i think we can safely say the interveiw is fact.

i will also like to point out neil is a good bloke and there is no better chap for the job at the moment. he just has a load of crap to choose from to ride for GB.

Think that is what we all have to assume. He certainly isn't contesting it despite the lame `misquote ` remark.

Yet again sidney getting things wrong so bringing irrelevent things into the topic. Just read that thread in the gp section to see what an arse he made of himself.
