foamfence
Agreed. I cannot believe that same are so niave as to think its just a simple an easy thing to deal with. Having his passport and visa from Oz gives no guarantees he will be allowed in the UK, He could still maintain he has no convictions (from this latest issue at least) but any exploration from any border/passport control will uncover that the incident is on file and could easily choose to refuse entry. Nothing is certain just because Oz have given him his visa. It's the country you intend to visit which issues the visa (not everywhere requires them). To be honest have never applied so i had always assumed that your country issued it. Surely the UK can still say no like other countries that require them? Oz and America tend to be quite tight on them?

It'll probably be a nervy walk through customs and so on for him.

iris123
Police certainly get info.I came back from a trip abroad and the police were there waiting for a mate of mine as soon as he got off the plane and escorted him up to Scotland. This does seem to be pretty minor(on the face of it) and like others have said his guilty plea was probably made to make his entry into the country(and other countries)easier
Grand Central
Yes, They can refuse entry to anyone that they have a mind to. It'll probably be a nervy walk through customs and so on for him. And he doesn't just visit the UK as a 'once-off' (as he likes to put it). He's backwards and forwards from Poland, Sweden and the rest of Europe all year long. Every one of those border crossings offers the potential for a zealous Border Officer to give him trouble. I wonder how many here have smoked dope and done stupid things? I certainly did but not when I was young rather in my 30s when I am supposed to be wiser Done a few daft things in my 50s as well. He is an unsavoury character certainly but he did not kill anyone and would hardly be the worst person let in the UK this year. We would have probably liked to deport Jack Millen and he was a complete mental case but it was an entertaining evening when Jack came to call at your local speedway track and we missed him when he wasn't there anymore.
PHILIPRISING
MY understanding is that Ward has his new passport and UK visa and is on his way back here to get his SGP equipment ready for transportation to New Zealand from Amsterdam on March 6. Sandie
I wouldn't overly worry - it'll not be long before a line is being drawn to move on from the next episode. a subtle but naughty post or am I reading to much into it!!! T.N.T.
He can still be refused entry by UKBA immigration when he arrives in the UK, the passport and visa would of been applied for before this latest episode I expect. Yes he has his VISA that he misplaced before this but he would have to declare any changes to his situation just like you do with your drivig licence here. If when entrering the country they check on this then he could be stopped ..... but unlikely now MY understanding is that Ward has his new passport and UK visa and is on his way back here to get his SGP equipment ready for transportation to New Zealand from Amsterdam on March 6. That was his original plan which looked to be shelved ...... if that is still the plan he may be testing his bikes over here in 15 days time

pandorum
As far as I know Jack Millen didn't do Drugs. I never said he did. Jack had too much class and did not need them as he was mental anyway. One of the best entertainers and most hated riders in speedway but by heck he knew how to make a meeting exciting. A priveledge to have seen him many times including the great Sunderland team he was part of. Also a true gent with fans as I never saw him refuse anyone, including the opposition fans who had booed him thoughout the meeting and there was always plenty of them who sought such a thing, an autograph The point I was making with Mad Jack was that we villify these people but we miss them when they are not around any more Edited February 23, 2013 by pandorum
