And HOPEFULLY you forgot to mention that you will fall in line with pretty much every sports publication preview in history and provide us with an index this year? It a bit irksome to have to cobble together one's own every year. Alternatively just do each league in alphabetical order? Welcome to the BSF free ads section. Hey let's make it a sticky of the highest order. I'm even considering having a tattoo advertising this superb annual edition emblazoned across my chest. Glad i not done it yet as it's pretty heavy sleet in Manchester today to be strolling around bare-chested in the name of a good cause. Seriously though i think everyone should do their utmost to advertise this issue on behalf of the Speedway Star. Only downside (yeah apart form the lack of an index) is the wierd traditional fans view where it seems that the qualification of 90% of the fans is to be over 85 years of age. Instead of the fans view can we not have a promoters view or a description of the track regarding racing lines (or 100% lack of them) etc. One of the most richest sports in the world NASCAR doesn't hold back from describing a tracks race-ability or lack of. A technical insight on the way to ride/race a track - as the Speedway Star often touches on in it's GP previews - would be far preferable than this fans view we have at present in the precious space allotted.. salty
Please, please do not have an index. Don't waste valuable space on such a triviality.

Why on earth is it a waste of space? Takes up very little room. I always keep hold of the preview edition during the season, especially for televised matches. Unless you have some kind of photographic memory i don't think any fans can particularly memorise where pundits have (mostly unsuccessfully) predicted where teams will finish. Obviously no biggie at all in the grand scheme of things. Just that it's a basic staple of most similar features in the printed and online world from epochs ago lol. Takes up no space at all. Ok i off to eat me din-dins. Edited February 13, 2013 by manchesterpaul

I agree,no index. But please, please, have your text in various sizes and colours so that we can understand the important points
salty
Maybe if Phil and the boys ignore the deafening clamour for an index Manchesterpaul could produce a downloadable one so that we don't have to spend countless wasted hours thumbing through the hundreds of pages for the Belle Vue review (which I predict will be about Page 28 - or 10th of the Elite League double spreads). iris123
I was rather hoping that they would print the issue as a fold out one giant page issue so negating the need for an index. If not, maybe i could somewhere download a minimax spreadsheet with all the teams listed and i could fill in the page number next to each team as i go through the magazine, which would be of unimaginable help to me on my almost daily referencing during the course of the season. I be going watch football now
SCB
Its not often I agree with manchesterpauls weird fascinations but he is right on this one. Who thought putting the teams in prediction order was a good idea? put them in alphabetical rider, it does make more sense.
dave69
SS Big Issue ? Is it going to be sold by people with scruffy mongrels on a bit of rope ?
Trevor
I like the fans view, I wish it was more of a real fans view e.g. Which rider will get the most stick? Which team do you most want to beat? Worst thing about following your team?

The H Man
Yep I agree A-Z much better idea, especially as several of the SS hacks are embedded in the backside of their team's promotion so give a totally disjointed prediction!
