mickthemuppet
Paddy Power had earlier this day Stuart Robson as the complete outsider in the field at 500/1 nearly twice as much as Chris Schraam. Then he withdrew from the meeting. Going back to Paddy Power's odds and they had reduced him to 50/1. Once again a minefield betting on the head to heads. Best avoid at all costs. SCB
Once again a minefield betting on the head to heads. Best avoid at all costs. Everyone is going to get 5 rides and meet everyone once. Are you saying if you saw Chris Harris vs Chris Schramm at evens you'd ignore it? Because frnakly Id snap it up, Harris could get injured in his 2nd ride and would probably still win that one! Scb do you honesty know what you are talking about . All riders will have five rides tonight some will have six and some will have seven. Will all rides count in a h2d or will only some of them . Be interesting if you can give a reply which will make sense

Be interesting if you can give a reply which will make sense You say ignore heat to heads but you dont even know what the head to heads are. If they were offering Harris vs Schramm you'd be a moron to ignore it. surely a head to head is better to bet than to bet on the winner as the winner is a one off race. Id prefer to bet when I know everyone has 5 races to cancel out any luck than bet on a one of race. Edited May 13, 2013 by SCB

mickthemuppet
To start with the four riders in the semi final will get six . then those two who go to the final will get seven and the other two finalists will get six
SCB
To start with the four riders in the semi final will get six . then those two who go to the final will get seven and the other two finalists will get six You don't get points in the semi and final. It then comes down to a straight who beats who, just like better on who is going to win the final so how is it any different? Surely better on who is going to win the meeting is stupid as you dont know which 4 riders are going to be in the final using your logic. mickthemuppet
i would suggest you look at the rules of your bookmaker. Some bookmakers will ignore the semi final scores , some will ignore the semi final and final scores. Some others will count all scores and some others have not got a clue how they will settle head to heads. So it will be possible that one rider can take part in the semi final and score more points than the winner of the meeting Edited May 13, 2013 by mickthemuppet
SCB
Riders do NOT score points in the semi-final. Head-to-head is simple who beats who in the overall standings and finishing 3rd in the semi on 8 points is better than 4th in the semi with 12 points. mickthemuppet
One bookmaker had Chris Harris @ +0.5 against Scott Nicholls. So who is the winner. Scott for finishing 2nd or Chris who won on points 13 and a half to Scott Nicholls 13 points.?.
MrBeanti
Anyone having a bet on the live Swedish Speedway tonight ? Could make it more exciting to watch

Points don't come into it unless neither reached the top six, then most points count. As SCB has pointed out twice already, you do not score points in the semi or final. Nicholls scored 11 in the qualifying heats. Thats it, not 13. If neither had finished in the top 6 then whoever had scored more points during the 20 heats would be the winner with the handicap applied.
orion
Took a risk today and put some cash on Poole at 14-1( now 10-1) even thou they are bottom ..it's a bit mad but maybe with Robert m back and some more changes they can get on a run and sneak into the play offs like cov have done twice in recent years . orion
We were saying exactly that last night although i am not sure poole at 14s represent value after all the aforementioned Cov were 300s in almost the same circumstances Yes I was on the 300 -1, the longest price winner I am ever likely to get ....I expect if it was any other team rather than Poole and being bottom of the league the price would be a lot longer ...I guess we about to see if thee changes in the next few days will make them stronger. The other year when they try to do the same it all went wrong .

Sportingbet made their rules clear on rider match up's that semi final points dont count but the final points DO count
Hilly
TBH, didnt look at Sportingbet as they now only allow me stakes to win £5. At least they made it clear.

Hilly
Who lays your bets now Hilly, who can you still get on with? Ladbrokes are the only ones who take my bets in full, unfortunately they only do the live league matches. A few 'friends' accounts are limited now with 365 and VC. Sportingbet and Unibet a waste of time. Stan James were not to bad until recently, thou i can still win £25 per bet, better than others!!! This season has been harder going than normal, a bad first GP put me on the back foot.
Ipswich Jules
Taken Poole +2 > Kings Lynn and Miskowiak to outscore Alden off scratch tonight, also put a couple of sheckles on the tie and handicap tie
