hagonshocker
All credit to Zagar I think he`s done a good thing, he obviously thinks he`s going to qualify on his own merit and by withdrawing he`s given another chap a chance to qualify even though that chap is Bomber Harris . On what grounds has Zagar one a 'good thing'?....especially leaving things so late to inform the authorities therefore probably denying Pavlic a chance to get organised and take his place He was happy to take the risk of injury in a GP-however he wasn`t prepared to risk injury in the cut-throat challenge final. To decide that right up until the last minute takes the sodding rise

manchesterpaul
Maybe seen as a last resort for some.................but if no British sites are covering the meeting then this excellent Polish site is a good alternative. (You can even use Google translate if feel you have to). link: http://www.sportowef...ydarzenie/16124 It's good to use GT as each heat will likely have a commentary on the race and other notes concerning the meeting. Why do say if no British sites are covering the meeting is Speedway Updates not doing so? Having said that i usually use Sportowefakte as you get 'proper' comments aa opposed to a sometimes biased fans view of a race. One can always use both of course

JT
now you are talking rubbish I was taking the p*ss. Talk about taking the piss, Harris started receiving wild cards in 2007 and only once, in 2010, did he actually qualify by right for the series, finishing 6th after a freakishly good end to the season. They kept giving him Wild Cards until this season, when everyone thought they'd finally given up. That's a record of; 2007 Wild Card to get into the series - Failed to qualify by right for the 2008 season. 2008 Wild Card - Failed to qualify by right for the 2009 season. 2009 Wild Card - Failed to qualify by right for the 2010 season. 2010 Wild Card - Amazingly finished 6th, qualified by right for the 2011 season. 2011 Failed to qualify by right for the 2012 season. 2012 Wild Card - Failed to qualify by right for the 2013 season. 2013 49 riders (that's before you get to those seeded to the second stage) entered the first three rounds of the Grand Prix qualifiers, Harris finished joint 38th on 4 points - Harris is given a free pass to the Grand Prix Challenge after Zagar conveniently pulls out at the last minute. Sadly there's something so inevitable about Harris qualifying tonight. JT. Edited August 24, 2013 by JT

Luck? NO!!! Charity? YES! Does he deserve it over all of those who finished ahead of him in the qualifying quarterfinals and semifinals. No he most certainly don't. Ghostwalker
So you would rather see Pavlic...Realy?...If my Dad had a track id be a speedway rider too. Yes I would!! Harris is in Poole because he got another charity pick despite being knocked out early in the qualification process, Pavlic however got himself to a position as reserve by his own performance. Finishing top 8 in the QF and then top 8 in his semi which should have given him a place at the Grand Prix Challenge. However because BSI thinks a Brit has to be in the GPC Pavlic was robbed of his place. His place instead went to Daniel King who also have done nothing to warrant his inclusion rather then being a Brit. Then suddenly on the night before the GPC, Zagar pulls out and guess who gets the newly open charity spot? Yes that's right Chris Harris who has the record in received Wild Cards to the GP series. The very simple solution to these things would be 1. no wild card picks for the Grand Prix Challenge 2. Any riders who pulls out should have to so at least 5 days before the event. With exception for riders getting injured after the deadline has passed. Edited August 24, 2013 by Ghostwalker

T.N.T.
Why hasn't Krzsztof Buczkowski been moved into the line up as the next in line ? Love watching Bomber ride but hope he misses out in this oneas he has had his time and failed to qualify Troy Batchelor deserves a chance and Michael Jepsen Jensen only just missed out on a Wild Card for 2013 so he deserves this chance. Not too ure who I would like to get the other spot, but think it's between Andersen and Kildemand ..... but not all three Swindon riders please !!! LINE UP; 1 Vaclav Milik 2 Maciej Janowski 3 Krzysztof Kasprzak 4 Peter Kildemand 5 Timo Lahti 6 Hans Andersen 7 Kenneth Bjerre 8 Troy Batchelor 9 Danny King 10 Niels-Kristian Iversen 11 Tomas H Jonasson 12 Michael Jepsen Jensen 13 Piotr Pawlicki 14 Martin Smolinski 15 Chris Harris 16 Daniel Nermark RESERVES: 17 Ben Barker 18 Lewis Bridger

BSI have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the Challenge and, anyway, are more than happy with the current British representation in the SGP.

SteveEvans
This is an FIM event, not BSI as stated above. Surely if another spot opened up for a Brit it should go to Edward Kennett who I believe went the furthest in the qualifiers.
