HOW many more times! BSI have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the Challenge and, anyway, are more than happy with the current British representation in the SGP.

Yeah right do you honestly believe that yourself? BSI is the promoter of the GP-series and I am pretty sure

they have influence of the Gp-challenge in the same way as they do over the GP-series.

In a way if Bomber manages to get into the top 3 he sort of deserves it doesnt he? Why are people having a pop at Harris its not his fault he has been asked to ride and he would be mad to turn it down

The first sentence was a joke.

AND how do you suggest they have any influence? The whole qualification process is in the domain of the FIM. They determine who rides where, what venues are used, where the Challenge is held and so on.

Back up your assertion ...

Love to see Smolinski in the Gp's, great at birmingham, is very good with the fans and also its a German rider in the GP's

Along with KK and Iversen! Been good this year in the GPs already and like to see the same riders a few years as it gives it consistancly!

COULD happen with both on five after two

Ah but will the Speedway Star question why Harris keeps getting this constant charity? Will you ask why a serial failure, who finished 38th in the qualifiers, was somehow allowed to start this meeting at all? It's utterly farcical. I hope he does his usual party trick and fades away, no doubt blaming everyone bar himself while he's at it.

With respect, even if they did do that, what kind of reply would they ever get ?

Farce it may be, but what the hell has it got to do with the Star ?

I though it was a speedway magazine? As a such perhaps it could question why a few riders are keep getting charity picks?

QUITE right ... the FIM would simply point out the fact is that when riders withdraw at a late stage it opens the door for host country riders to step in. Don't like it any more than you but, frankly, what is the alternative? It is not like calling up at the last minute a tennis player who could jump on a plane with his racket as hand luggage.

Maybe the Challenge should be over three rounds but organisers are exactly queuing up to stage it now.

Then why are they allowing riders to withdraw with such a short notice preventing riders that have earned their place (as a reserve) from taking part of the GP-challenge.

Surely if a rider wants to withdraw he have to do it with such good margin that the reserve(s) can arrange their participation?

Have you ever asked those questions?
