Animal
It will be at Wolverhampton again on Monday 13th May. Do you think it should be shared around the other tracks?
Bagpuss
In an ideal world all shared events would, quite literally, be shared around. Trouble is certain events seem to work at particular venues and in some cases (not necessarily this one) the track who host the event are the only one who applies. TrueBee
Hopefully Tai won't choke again so we can finally move this event to a location where you can accommodate more fans.
orion
Love the Wolves track and it's always a good meeting there, but in terms of fairness it should be moved about . Edited January 21, 2013 by orion
Animal
The level of expectation means that there is too much pressure on Tai with him being on his own track. I don't think he'll ever win it, until they move it somewhere else!
P T Preece
agree all the events should be on a rota, and you dont get another one till they have done the rounds, its the usual, wolves and sheffield have two events.
Fourentee
Hopefully Tai won't choke again so we can finally move this event to a location where you can accommodate more fans. Hopefully it might move to a track wide enough to accommodate Kennett.
Backless
Hopefully someone on here will realise the meetings aren't awarded and won't be doing the rounds. There're where they are to maximise revenue and thereby maximise the share out to clubs.

Animal
The British Final is one of the highlights of the domestic season, live on TV, with the chance to become British Champion and the opportunity to win a place in the Cardiff GP. So can anyone therefore tell me why there is no opportunity for a practice session before the event for the riders? Riding there every week gives Tai a huge advantage over everyone else (assuming he qualifies) and as it is supposed to be a fair, open, level playing field, why not give every riders who wants it, an opportunity to practice the day before or on the morning of the meeting? The same can just as easily be said about the semis at Edinburgh and Sheffield.
fliss44
I love the track and the atmosphere at Wolves but unfortunately it will only accomodate so many fans.A bigger venue is required in my opinion.
Backless
Why? Has anyone been locked out? Until that happens, Monmore Green is "big enough".
montie
Dont know why but i got the idea that maybe this final at Monmore had a "stale" feel about it and wouldnt have done it any harm to have moved some where else for this year
Backless
Find somewhere prepared to pay more for it then. For a meeting that's gone "stale" it is still the best option financially for the SHARED event.

Backless
For years they bid for Shared Events so, in effect, yes.

Dave_minall
Fair play to the Wolverhampton promotion for being the highest bidder for what, 3 years now? I've always enjoyed watching it from there to be honest, it doesn't rate that highly to some people but I love that track.
Gavan
im neither for or against it being moved around. just put it somewhere were it works! lets be honest how good were the british finals in the 80's and 90's at Brandon? They were fantastic days out with good racing. The stands were packed and it was always a great day out. when i used to go to it there were always 6 or 7 riders who could win with 2 or 3 good riders as spoilers. The trouble is at the moment the level of talent in England is poor. Omly 3 riders can win (scott, tai ,bomber) and the next group (Barker, King, Kennett) are far better than the rest as well. Basically have this meeting at Lynn or Pboro and you will not get good racing because of the class of field. The British Final is in decline because British Speedway is in decline

The day before you will find a number of riders already racing elsewhere in Poland or the Premier League and as for the day of the event, the stadium is used by Ladbrokes for Greyhound Racing. Should it be elsewhere ? May be I'm a bit biased but Monmore is a great race track and most riders enjoy riding there and every year the racing is top quality, so why fix something that isn't broke ? The old days of Coventry were fine when it was a more open field, but wherever you hold it, Tai, Bomber and Scott are the best three Brits and these three sould fill the rostrum yet again unless Kennett can finally hold his head in the final !! Monmore is the best track to hold it geographically and for entertainment
