The Know
Thought if anyone would know the rules of the GP you would 21 points only available for a max-no double points in the final any longer. Dont follow it that closely anymore
mickthemuppet
Is this the first time ever that the Speedway Star has not published a programme for a GP. Has things changed now the GP's will be on Eurosport. and they do not have the rights?
The Know
I can't understand why for the past 2 years Gollob has had blue and red guards with different colour covers. It just looks awful Think it looks ok, AJ silver and odd colours always look bad and the all black of hagon very dull. But people all like differant colours dont they. Suppose the best colour is the one at the front Is this the first time ever that the Speedway Star has not published a programme for a GP. Has things changed now the GP's will be on Eurosport. and they do not have the rights? Cost cutting i suppose, or maybe NZ to far to send the ink back Expect Phil will let us know the reason. Personally, i think they should do a more in depth spread of that particular GP round, it used to be a lot more than it is nowadays. It might sell a few more Stars off the back of it as well... PHILIPRISING
NOTHING to do with rights, they don't exist as far as race grid is concerned. It was, I believe, an editorial decision and probably influenced by limited space even in a 128-page edition. Will discuss with Richard Clark when I get back. I have often wondered whether it was something people wanted or not, especially since the actual draw isn't made until after we go to press and so cannot include riders' names in their racing order. Looks like you do.

Looks like you do. Nobodys having a go phil, but people are just airing their concerns. I still think its a good idea to put the race grid in as people who buy the star would posibly fill it it, especially when it comes round to Cardiff, lets face it, would they in this day and age buy an official programme or a Star? I know which i would choose.. So you really need to capitalise on it.. Perhaps come the British GP you could do a bigger more in depth spread, because in the last few years i must admit for a home GP it has been quite disapointing. Lets face it the British GP should be the years flagbearer for the Star even in front of the World Cup, but behind Poole winning the League, of course!! Seriously tho, perhaps a re think as to how you could make the Star more sale-able to the speedway public, and capture there imagination. Just a thought. brandonbee48
Hi night owls, Just coming up to 11pm here on the US east coast. For those who admire Polish coverage (and the scrumptious DARIA) you can get it here. http://www.pl-sport.tv/ Lets go guys. Alan.
brandonbee48
Talking to myself it looks like, but after the first 4 heats, Andreas looked really fast, as did Darcy. Early days yet.
Elmo
Pedersen looking very slow.
brandonbee48
After 8, Darcy, Greg and Andreas look the pick of the bunch. To be fair to Nicki, heat 5 was a toughie for him with Greg, Gollob and Jonsson, but he does need to "extractum digitum". Tai hasn't disgraced himself so far. Good for him.
