BritPete
Did someone say that Smolinski would be outclassed in the GP series? Darcy had a rough night, he didn't have the speed at all. There was nothing deliberate about Smolinski's crash with Ward,he just hit a rut the same as batchelor did earlier.
brandonbee48
Thanks for the company all. Fanbloodytastic meeting. Coming up to 4.30am here, so it's off to bed, but wouldn't have missed that one for anything. All the best. Alan.
Guest
Rooting for Smoli as the underdog - great to see him do so well. Missing Emil and Mr G though.... Yes without those two the GP Series loses quite a lot of its credibility.
T.N.T.
Well Done Martin Smolinski on a remarkable first full GP and a brilliant ride in the final to win in New Zealand
Ivanobe
Fantastic for Smolinski, superb determination throughout by him. Â Chris Harris looks so lacking in confidence do you think?
Guest
JesuS bloody wept there is no justice. A guy that wrecks Darcys night then flukes a win. Â Â Terrible Why is He involved?
iris123
The reports during the week might have been telling. That the crews of other riders were acting unprofessionally like drunken louts at the airport and on the plane. The two that were said be be professional and keeping their distance were the Smolinski + Pedersen teams   Well done Smoli
SCB
2GPs, not 1. Â Congrats Smoli

Bream
Omg, I though Smolinski would fight with Harris at the bottom of the table. Superb riding from the lad. I hope he can keep that form and boost speedway in Germany.

INCOGNITO
Always a tough rider around the white line and one hell of a ride to win from the back against three riders that were very fast in the meeting. Â Â Will be surprised if he finishes in the top 8 but a great start. Well Done

Ward was off form and looked slow so he would have won nothing. Hope he is ok but sure to have a sore head.  very good meeting.

Steve Shovlar
Overall a good GP. Some good racing but very rutty up the inside. Â NP is the leader but we all know he will have poor GPs along the way. Woffy clearly unfit, Holder still not fully race fit and Darcy getting flattened to take away the opportunity of making the semis. Â Crowd looked decent though wether it's enough to go back there next year is another matter. The crowd looked comatosed at times. Guess no local man to cheer didn't help and probably many of them didn't have a clue who was who.

Gavan
Well thats a turn up. Â Woffy clearly far from fit. Holder battling Nicki P again showing his class Darcy looked slow - will have better gp's but still struggles when the pressure is applied so doubt he would have got anywhere. hope he is ok after the crash

It is accepted that the majority of local/New Zealanders are not basic motorcycle speedway fans but attent events like this for the atmosphere of a good day/evening of outdoor entertainment. Any idea of the 'official attendance' and - dare I say this (?) the actual attendance? Motorcycle speedway is very low key in New Zealand - just three 'regular' tracks and they don't run every week. stratton
i really enjoyed the meeting and well done to the German, anyone but Pedersen what a dirty rider thank god he didnt collect Chris in the semi final. The racing was excellent different lines it did cut up though ruts on the inside Lindgren was outstanding i think he showed what he is capable of at this level.Pedersen that's why i think he is not up there with the real greats we know you have to be tough in competition but he constantly goes to far in my book. A shame really because he is that good he does not need to do it.
