Jacques
It would appear that it was a good day! It certainly looked like it for the Glasgow tigger fan or two. Paulco posted photos on FB that only a pissed person would... LOL

thehammer
That shortened the odds on Richie Worrall being Newcastle's #1 come the end of tbe season. He'll be cold having not long been back from New Zealand riding!
screm
Well done to Mads Korneliussen on his win, thoroughly deserved as he was the best rider on the night, felt a bit sorry for Claus Vissing who looked all out the winner untill the last corner and a Korneliussen pass.Ben Barker was good early on,as was Ritchie Warrall who looks like he will be a big scorer for Newcastle this season. All in all in decent meeting on a cold cold night, infront of a good crowd which hopefully raised a tidy sum for Ben Fund which was the most important thing. There was a couple of meeting auctions for Hans Andersons and Ricky Ashworths race jackets which raised money and there was a collection on the Glasgow supporters bus on the way down to Berwick which raised over £200. It was bloody cold though.
Paulco
Great turn out on a freezing cold night , hopefully a few bob was raised for the Benefit Fund . As for the actual racing , well individual meetings only serve to remind us how good league racing is . Typical early season stuff with most races decided by the 2nd bend . In saying that , Mads Korneliussen was a worthy winner and easily the best rider on view . Superb pass on Claus Vissing on the final bend of the race . How Claus Vissing has been overlooked for a PL team place somewhere is nothing short of criminal . Great craic on the bus down from Glasgow , been a long winter and now we have to kick our heels for a further 3 weeks till our next piece of action .

Catch Me If You Can
Cold Bloody Freezing From the Gate races (with a couple exceptions) and an awful announcer It must be speedway season , well done all involved and the brave fans Pleased made journey up. Looked a decent crowd (2,000 maybe?) It was cold! Dick Barrie was on centre but it was not Dennis McLeary in box announcing?
gmuncie
Enjoyable way to blow away the cobwebs after the winter. Can't help but feel the Ben fund missed a trick though could have raised another £20k+ if they'd had that blathering clown Dick Barrie do a sponsored silence ;-)

Dick Barrie was on centre but it was not Dennis McLeary in box announcing? Indeed it wasn't! Was Steve Hayward. Steve will be taking over mic announcing from Dick soon ish... Which may please a few! Personally I thought Dick was thoroughly professional last night and did a good job! Overall, great crowd... 2 or 3 good races.... Great smells and the season is alive
luluthetiger
Cold Bloody Freezing From the Gate races (with a couple exceptions) and an awful announcer It must be speedway season , well done all involved and the brave fans To be fair, I understand that was Steve Hayward's first-ever meeting as announcer, and to me he was OK, we got the results and times clearly enough - what else do you want? The rest of the show was fine, apart from the cold. Berwick did their usual good show, Dick Barrie as slick as ever on the grass and race after race came piling out of the pits. Burgers remain the best in speedway!

screm
Giving his performance on saturday night, you wonder if there isnt a promoter somewhere taking a very keen interest in Claus Vissing for a possible future signing.
Fromafar
Giving his performance on saturday night, you wonder if there isnt a promoter somewhere taking a very keen interest in Claus Vissing for a possible future signing. Spends a lot of time on the injury list IMO.
