Sad news regarding ken ,one of the friendliest guys you could wish to meet .He rode for the comets at 47 years of age .He also attended the comets 40th anniversary meeting travelling up from his dorset home and travelled back the same night.Thanks for the fond memories ken

Very sad to hear this. Ken was a mainstay of the Weymouth Royals back in the early 1960s. Captained the side for one or two seasons. Personal memory is of him beating Charlie Monk and Jon Erskine in the final of one of the Wessex Championships in one of the best races I have ever seen..

 

Fondly remembered by all old time Weymouth fans.
