Sure and from what i gather it is also pressure from the riders.f-s-p could probably confirm, but i think world champ Joonas Kylmäkorpi would also like to be earning more from longtrack meetings. He was in the press a few months back moaning about the amount of money in the sport and he only rides in the GPs,it isn't worth him doing other meetings

When he won his first title, he said a LT GP cost him around 5000 euros in bike wear/tear. I dont think he's done any other LT events since his first title. Not worth risking some sunday riders crashing in to him and finishing a season for a chance to win a coffee cup sized trophy and 250 euros...

You mean Kylmä has complained about money! :o Now that's a shock.

Ha ha...

And have to say from my little experience Longtrack is boring.A follow the leader race over 300m is bad enough, just think how strung out the riders get when there is 1,000 m per lap.And then how long it takes to prepare the track when the tractors have to go round a 1,000m track instead of 300m.Maybe i have been unlucky, but the 3 meetings i went to and they had some top riders in were all what you would technically call crap

Difficult to plan ahead with these things too. Earlier this year, when I booked the flights to Hannover to go to the Vechta round, all was well and good...some months later and the dates had been switched, and that weekend it was the French round, with Vechta being the week after. You can't really ask an airline to postpone your tickets as well, can you? I'll be leaving this year's decision making until a lot closer to the dates.
