Great ride from Emil in the final.... but.. Holder did give it him. As he did in the earlier race they had. All Holder had to do was keep it out wide (which he was doing) and Emil had no way by.. Stupidly Holder rode round the middle of the track in 1 & 2 on lap 4 and left the door wide open for Emil to sail by! Great entertainment in the latter stages of the meeting though.

So true . And a real schoolboy error doing it twice!

Well it started off poor but wow did it get going, some great racing and really pleased Emil did it again, on this form Emils heading to be world champ and I think it would be a popular outcome, hes super skilled. I`ve no sympathy for Ward

With Emil chasing any rider just to make a prediction from which direction he come from next is a big problem, that guy just does not stick to one line, inside, outside, every which way, making the rider being chased very hard to cover him. His track skill is terrific.

This GP started of a procession but as the meeting went on got more and more exciting with more overtaking. Great pity about Ward, hope his injury is not as bad as a broken collar bone.

Sometimes it is difficult to make the right call when a faster rider is crawling all over you. He did the same to Pedersen in the semi final. On his day, the 21st century Peter Collins

Agreed, very reminiscent of PC, can ride any part of the track, seems to find traction where others can't, amazing balance, I also love seeing him race.

As said, another decent GP in the end, really enjoying this series so far, can't really grumble at the coverage, the shouty brothers are still muted by Eurosport, I can tolerate the boring fill-in guy because the racing is, on the whole, of decent standard.

Never been a big fan of Pedersen and his antics but you cannot fault him for tenacity and courage, when clearly in so much pain and on lap 4 of a final he definitely wasn't going to win I wouldn't have blamed him if he'd retired and saved himself having to spend the next 15mins on the rostrum and riding on the back of a cabriolet, giving interviews etc etc. Fair play to him, he's a very tough bloke, hope he and Ward are soon on the mend.

Agree about Emil but Ward doesn't deserve that, a smashed shoulder blade is a bad injury

I was about to say the same. I don't like Ward, but he's a brilliant rider, a great addition to the series. I hope he's not too badly injured and we'll see him back riding soon :)

EMIL'S father died this evening ... apparently just about the same time as he was winning in Gothenburg. Very emotional for such a young lad, who incidentally is a smashing kid.

Our thoughts go out to him and his family.

Oh my. Life does play tricks on you doesn't it?

Condolences to Emil and his family and rest in peace good father.

Respectfully. Alan.
