I for one think Tai was brilliant tonight, he showed true guts to get to that final, unlike Pedersen who has been playing on his so called injury for way too long, Tai just got on with the job and he did himself and British speedway proud...

you talk complete and utter bollox where Pedersen is concerned the bloke had a broken forearm is was in the stadium in Gothenburg when the injury happened and after finishing 3rd you could hear the bloke screaming with pain as he went to collect his trophy on the podium - and two weeks later again still in much pain he rode .

You talk about something you no bugger all about .

Some of you are missing the point. They BOTH deserve credit for racing with these injuries. Pedersen deserves some of the stick he got for his pathetic laydown last night, but the guy has guts, of that there is no doubt.

The points Pedersen has scored in the last few GPs,riding with a broken arm,has been a miracle, give the bloke a break (no pun intended).

Can we put the non-exclusion of Pedersen in his 1st ride as 1st night nerves on the part of the referee.

I am no n pedersen fan but reading the comments from fans? (Twats)criticising him is frankly ridiculous. No doubt most of the abusers would have 2 weeks off work with a heavy cold ,man flu or a mouth ulcer. Pederen is riding at 80 mph with a broken arm FFS. So next time your bent over your computer peering over your pot belly whilst complaining about a minor sniffle just remember he is putting his body and career at serious risk. Great GP by the way.

PEDERSEN injury "so-called_ ... hardly. He has a broken arm. Give the bloke his due.

Oh, yes credit where credit is due.

He can also go down like a wounded swan when he misses the jump on a crowded first bend.

And play dead on the ground with perfection..

All to fool a soft-touch referee who is still wet behind the ears.

As well as being undeniably brave.

The man is a genius of his Art.

All those that saying Niki went down to easily last night... One would like to ask how many of you have raced a speedway bike at that level, and with a broken arm? If you have, then feel free to come back and tell me that he did let it go too easily, I will listen then. But as most of us have never done that, sorry I think some of you are simply being unfair and talking about something that you are not qualified to comment on.

Sorry but that`s rubbish-the tap was minimal and he certainly only went down yards further on when the track caught him out.The incident in a later race when the dirt deflector of (was it )NKI caught his front wheel caused him more of a problem and he stayed on then.

Ooh, you can't have an opinion on Margaret Thatcher.

Not unless you've been Prime Minister yourself.

Then I would listen

And i'm off out to rape and murder a few people, all so I can comment on murderers and rapists.

We've all seen enough speedway and enough of Nicki to know that when it suits he is a master at throwing the bike down for a re-run. Its always when he's att he back too, never when he's risking losing a point. I love watching Nicki, I have a lot fo respect for the guy, he has balls of steel but my God he is bloody annoying to watch, ok he's not half as dirty as he once was but now he tries to get others excluded. Certainly knows how to add to a meeting, Never a dull moment when he's around. And to score as he has done with his arm as it is shows what an amazing speedway rider he is, maybe someone should break Gollob and Lindbacks arms/shoulders if it has this effect!

I couldn't agree more on everything you say.

He has an ability to weigh matters up in an instant.

In a split second he knew that there were zero points in that race; get a stoppage and the three points may come up for grabs.

And he got an extra 2.

He really is brilliant at it.

There is not one other person in the GP field who can pull it off.

Don't talk bollocks, opinions on individuals are one thing, but judging if a rider was capable of holding his bike up with a weakened arm I suspect is not something you have ever tried yourself?

The weakened arm is irrelevant. Otherwise you could argue would he have scored a few more points fully fit? Yeah, I tell you what, we'll add 5 to his score last night. if Nicki could not handle that nudge due to his fitness thats his problem. He played that situation. He didnt throw it down when KK did knock him as he knew there were 2 riders behind him and he may be throwing away 2 points so it wasn't worth it, had it been for 3rd he'd have been on the floor waving at the referee before he'd come to a stop!

Great GP tonight and if we lived in a sensible world people would be starting to discuss Woffinden being in the running for Sports Personality of the Year.

I increasingly think that given any kind of coverage that lad could revitalise the sport in Britain.

Not in a million years im afraid, most people have never heard of him and are not interested in speedway anyway..

I thought that was the whole point of a General Election, we vote for person we want as PM based on our opinion of them.

YES

That's what I thought too

As yet I haven't see a quote from Nicki but I would be surprised if he blamed his broken arm for dropping the bike.

If it was 'his fault' that his arm was too weak to hold the bike upright wouldn't he have been the primary cause of the stoppage?

That is, 'race stopped because the rider in yellow is too badly injured to make it round the first turn'.

Or are you saying that the referee took pity on him for his arm injury and allowed him back in the rerun out of sympathy?

I think you are missing the point, N P always drops his bike when any contact is made if he is in a bad place and he can claim 1st bend bunching, if he had of been contesting the lead he would definitely of stayed on his bike, at no point has Niki blamed his broken wrist.

No, you are.

I was responding to the chap who WAS blaming his wrist!

Not a bad gp, tai did very well again even though in pain. Nicki take not this is a proper injury and if your going to keep bringing along ya arm rubber, get a good looking one :D Gp ruined again by a very poor track, seems we are going back to the old ways. Give the chaps something decent to ride on please.
