Hi all

Thanks for the recent posts.

We are planning on having a track staff meeting at the end of February and I am talking to Roger and Len about a Fans Forum around then, or early March.

Regarding crowd levels we will have to wait and see but if the feedback we are getting at the moment is an indication it should be good.

Regards

I am pleased to announce that our first home meeting, on Bank Holiday Monday 6th May will include speedway and motorbike stands and attractions.

These will start in the late morning, before the meeting itself so keep the Bank Holiday Monday in your diary, bring the whole family along, and join us for a days celebration of speedway, motorbikes and of course, our first ever home meeting.

We are also looking for ex Kent speedway riders to join us in a "legends" parade before the meeting, so if you know of anyone, please contact me at nikko@kentkings.co.uk

Details of the attractions will follow soon......

A legends parade sounds good as it might attract some of the older supporters from previous Kent clubs. The quality of the speedweay must be the highlight of the first meeting regardless of any other razzmatazz.

Cant wait to see who the remaining riders are?

You are doing a great job keeping the Kings in the spot light. Looking forward to the opening meeting.

Well done to all involved so far and hope the team have a good first season.

Well done Neil.

Listened to BBC Radio Kent this morning and you came across very well,so hopefully it will attract more people who may not be aware of the `Kings`coming to Central Park.

:t:

Thanks for the kind comments, it certaintly was interesting carrying out a live interview at 6.40am from the Stadium!!

I am also pleased to announce that, continuing our promotion of the Kings around Kent, myself and a couple of the riders will be at the Margate Beech Cross event on the 2nd & 3rd March with "flyers" to hand out.

We will be taking down some bikes, racejackets etc so if anyone is around we look forward to seeing you in Margate that weekend.

Regards

hi all. not been on here for a while as not had access to pc for a while but am over the moon about speedway returning to kent! grew up as a kid at kingsmead and have waited 26 long years for a full time team to return to kent and a new place to replace kingsmead! really cannot wait!!! have to say a massive congrats to neil for the amazing work he and the rest of the team are doing to make what has been a dream become a reality. cant imagine a better place for a speedway track as have been there few times to watch greyhounds and if this all goes well the future could be fantastic and can see elite league racing and maybe more taking place! just hope the crowds turn up and support all the hard work that is being done. once again a big congrats to neil and everyone and i look forward to seeing the final product get underway on 6th may!

I understand, and agree to an extent with, the drip-feed approach but time's getting on a bit. You need to leave time to promote the whole team to the media and fans. Is there a set schedule for announcing the rest of the team?

Thanks for the continued posts and interest.

We were very pleased with the radio coverage, and as one of my friends says, I have a great face for radio!!!

We are talking with local TV and expect an interview shortly to continue to spread the word about the Kings.

With regards to the "drip feed" of the riders, we have a strategy in place to keep the name of the Kings in the public eye throughout the lead up to the season although its fair to say we will want to have the whole team named in time for some "team" media events.

I will be at Paradise Park on Sunday, wearing one of our new "Team Jackets" so if anyone is around and wants to come and say "Hello" it would be good to meet you.

Just a thought, could Jason Garrity be our number one this season?

I think he finished 2012 with a 5+ PL average, which would rule him out of the NL. In any case, he's expressed a desire to race in the EL this year, so we wouldn't want another Adam Roynon scenario on our hands!
