****Stop press****

It is rumored that after secret talks at a track meeting, that the legendry unbeaten Tony 'two laps' may threaten the captains spot at the Kings. After turning down 2 elite league offers and a GP wild card Tony refuses to comment. He maintained that returning from retirement is unlikely but that he may be avaliable as expert adviser to the youngsters. Although maintaining intense training at McDonalds and Burger King over the winter, its unlikely he'll risk his other passion, flashing. Meanwhile 'Two Laps' fans wait with baited breathe.

Now really the mind boggles "Flashing" at a Greyhound Track? hahaha, its to be hoped that were Tony Two Laps to contemplate doing his "other" passion over say One lap, as a fund raiser, with greyhounds chasing or chewing LOL, he would wear at least a mankini, Plz do it while The Rabble of The Heathens are in Town, any way good luck guys for 2013.

Well done Neil and all at ` Kent CTA Fire Kings` for the major team sponsorship over 2 years. Some great work going on at the Club. Will there be a fans forum/get together at the Stadium any time soon. I am sure supporters will have questions/suggestions to air.

Many thanks for the post, it certaintly has been a very hectic time, and continues to be.

With the track coming along, look out for the the latest photos on the website over the coming days as you will see a major difference, we are now finalising meetings with the track staff and a fans forum/get together.

The track staff meeting, for anyone who may like to be involved, is Monday 8th April at 6pm at the Stadium.

We are finalising formats for a team get together/press/sponsors/fans meeting and as soon as this is confirmed I will let everyone know.

Regards

Nikko

Hi Nikko

When are we going to find out who the last two riders will be?

That's up to Roger and Len but I'm sure they will announce them when they feel the time is right.

Appreciate everyone wants to know the full team, and can't wait for the 6th May.

Pity the team was not compleated for the speedway stars club predictions this week... It has many pundits tipping the Kings towards the bottom of the league weather thats true or not will depend on those last two signings..Lets hope we are not kept waiting much longer for that anticipated signing that would have the pundits putting the Kings at there other end of the league standings ...

I also have said I thought it was a shame the whole team could not be reviewed in the SS.Is it just me or has the naming of the final 2 been dragged out too long? :o

I know what you mean, but predictions are only predictions and let's be honest, anyone with a modicum of understanding at the NL level (as indeed you allude to) could work out that once the squad is completed, Kent will NOT be 'challenging' for 7th. in the division but a nailed-on top four!!

Will be happy to see the 'pundits' eating humble pie come October!!

Not really a case of eating humble pie Derek tbh. The 'pundits' can surely only comment on what they know can't they?

Not that their views are really of much interest to most who realise that the seven you start with is rarely the seven you finish with in a speedway season.
