Ice Speedway 2012/13

Can't say i didn't warm you......but the ironic thing is,is the temps in south and east Germany are set to drop from wednesday onwards and snow is also predicted.

It is i think totally wrong to give such an important meeting to a natural ice track. The thing is Inzell wanted to host a quali meeting and Bauer for one was slagging the FIM off for not giving them one.I still can't work out why if Inzell had the chance to host a meeting why they never kept plans to do so and they could have then stepped in to host this.It wouldn't have been a big deal for all the fans who have booked flights and hotels to go to Inzell instead

So the official news is out. They say they need 5 or 6 nights with temps of -15.Mild weather and rain has ruined all the work they have put in so far

Ice Speedway Gladiators World Championship Challenge at St. Johann im Pongau, Austria, is cancelled.

Official statement from the club is to follow

B****r. Just got a mail from them. Already have tickets for ice hockey in Salzburg on Friday. Bayern Munich may get our euros on Saturday now with bobsleigh World Cup on Sunday at Igls. No sense in sulking, life's too short.

...Bayern Munich may get our euros on Saturday...

Now there's a good idea! Not been to their new stadium, in fact not seen Bayern since a certain year when Man Utd drew 2-2 at the Olympic Stadium during Oktoberfest, on their way to an event that led to the following shirt getting created!

Big changes happening in Flims,Switzerland starting this weekend. The club is in new hands after 15 years, including Swiss rider Dirk Fricke. They have a deal with a tv company and they hope the meeting will not only be shown on local, but national tv both this year and in the future. They also have plans to make the Golden Spike a multi nation series and also hope to open new tracks in Switzerland.
