manchesterpaul
Is that your customary comment for the night? Bang on time. Dull indeed. Lol
racers and royals
I do think it's extremely rude to go somewhere as a commentator and mispronounce the name as it is insulting to the people who live there. The moron who isn't a speedway rider thought Copenhagen was Moldow and now Tolyatti is ToGliatti. It's like those morons who go to MaLLorca instead of MaYorca. Just nit picking perhaps but I don't really rate the guy above Sooty never mind someone like Pearson I think you are mixing up 2 Eurosport employees-it was the "carter " continuity chap who is rubbish-I actually think Scott and Steve Day seeing that it`s their 1st season are doing a really good job Edited August 10, 2013 by racers and royals
manchesterpaul
Another racy win by Tai. Can't wait to see him and Emil battle for both the World and European crowns in 2014.....ummmm 2013 too?
BluPanther
Is that your customary comment for the night? Bang on time. Dull indeed. Turn your TV on and see for yourself, its garbage, but probably exciting for those that go to Kirky Lane.
RobMcCaffery
The moron who isn't a speedway rider thought Copenhagen was Moldow and now Tolyatti is ToGliatti. It was a different presenter who was so heavily criticised for his summaries up to and including the Copenhagen Grand Prix. I believe his name was Tony Carter. This is Steve Day who presented the Cardiff Grand Prix, has commentated on both European Championship rounds so far and thankfully took over the GP summarising with Scott in Terenzano. It seems it's not only TV presenters who don't know names.... On a different point, anyone else think the meeting might get a little more interesting if number 19 were allowed out on his OTHER speedway bike? nw42
Turn your TV on and see for yourself, its garbage, but probably exciting for those that go to Kirky Lane. Well pray tell us all which utopia you watch your speedway in, I mean where do you go to find 15, 20, or even 22 heats of close, exciting speedway with more passes in every race than you could shake a stick at, where you could throw a proverbial blanket over all 4 riders for all 4 laps. Go on you miserable soul, share the secret of speedway heaven. You either know nothing about the sport or you're on the wind up, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and congratulate you on reeling me in, well done. Pearson gets slagged off for shouting but Day has shouted twice so far. At least Pearson knows what the hell he is talking about. In the Pearson Day war I stand in the Pearson camp

manchesterpaul
Could we be getting that (non)rare thing since the time speedway began of the racing getting better or finally appearing as the meeting goes on. Admittedly more than a little belated tonight mind. Please can we not set up a permanent sticky thread for tv commentators, every meeting thread gets filled with commentator comments lol lol. Ok whilst we still discussing them Steve Day (and Scott) are super quick in working out the multiple permutations ahead of a heat, very impressive once again ahead of this last heat. In stark contrast to the other duo who often haven't got a clue who has quaified AFTER a race lol. raymondbudd
Moving on from the commentary debate. It's a big meeting, in a modern stadium that's packed to the rafters. And the racing is non too shabby either. Outside of the Cardiff GP, I've seen nothing in the UK over the past 15 years that is even comparable to the fayre on offer in Russia tonight. iris123
You want to see them in their white Mega Lada outfits -with adjustable zippers!!! Are you saying they are the Mega lada start girls?Only it has been said that it will be the same 4 girls who won a competition to do the whole series.Heard it was the same girls from the first meeting and have also seen a comment from someone in Sweden that one is Swedish, which would mean they ain't the track girls

Why, just because you're the most important poster on these threads? Ridiculous. By the way, number 19 Daniil Ivanov is the World Ice Racing Champion. Thought someone might be interested, evidently not.
Reviresco
Typical Mr G. 2 x ducks followed by 2 x wins, including one over Emil. Is mercurial the right word - or just frustrating.....
manchesterpaul
i thought Ales Dryml DIDN'T get hit in the head there. At first glance i thought he got hit lower down from the initial angle and took most of it on his lowered arms?
