Wonder whose going to replace Ulamek

Official regulations in speedway aren't always followed but this taken from them;

12.5.4 Track Reserve riders

The FMNR will propose two track reserve riders to each final meeting to take part.

Proposals must be made in writing to the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission not

later than 1 month prior to the meeting. The European Championship Bureau (ECB)

will make the final approval and nominations.

After nomination, the official Individual Speedway European Championship Final

Series Entry Form for Track Reserve Riders must be duly completed and signed by

the rider and his FMN. The FMN is responsible for completing and submitting the Revised April 2013 8 of 31

entry form to the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission at least 2 weeks before the

meeting for which the rider has been nominated.

Furthermore, the rider commits himself by his signature to be fully aware of all the

FIM Europe rules; to accept them all and to compete in the Individual Speedway

European Championship Final Series meeting for which he has been nominated.

12.5.5 Qualified Substitute riders

In case of the absence of one or more riders in the final meetings, the first available

qualified substitute rider or riders, according to their placing on the Individual

Speedway European Championship “Qualified Substitutes list”, will be elevated for

that meeting, and take the place(s) of the relevant missing rider(s). The list of

qualified substitute riders will be published by the FIM Europe Track Racing

Commission after the European Championship Challenge (ECC).

All qualified substitute riders must submit the official Individual Speedway

European Championship Final Series Entry Form for Qualified Substitute riders to

the FIM Europe Track Racing Commission before the deadline required by the

Commission. This entry form must be duly completed and signed by the rider and

his FMN.

This entry form enters the rider into all the Individual Speedway European

Champinship Final Series meetings he may be called up to do unless prevented

from doing so by injury or other “force majeure”. A suitably qualified medical

practitioner must certify injury or illness in writing to that effect.

The FMN is responsible for the completion of this entry form and submitting it to the

FIM Europe Track Racing Commission.

Furthermore, the rider commits himself by his signature to be fully aware of all the

FIM Europe rules; to accept them all and to compete in the Individual Speedway

European Champinship Final Series meeting for which he has been nominated.

A Qualified Substitute rider, who without a reason accepted by the Chairman of the

FIM Europe Track Racing Commission refuses to take part in a meeting, may be

removed from the Qualified Substitute riders list for the rest of the season.

In the event that no “Qualified Substitutes” are available, the European

Championship Bureau (ECB) or the International Jury may nominate one or more

substitute riders.

I'm guessing the decision on whether a reserve is promoted or Leon Madsen depends on whether the latter had enough time to get to Togliatti, presumably doubtful! :)

It's 4 am i've not been home long so for now will remove Sebastian Ulamek from the two racecards and amend further tomorrow upon any announcements.

'Drofgum you might have to repost your link for a third time in two pages ;) as it's confirmed Ulamek was detained overnight at Basildon Hospital after sustaining a broken collarbone, rib and hip injuries. Somehow i don't think he'll be taking part!

Just so as not to confuse UK viewers, even though Ghostwalker denoted 'International' - with it being a UK based forum i guess most of the visitors are UK - the currently (10:45 Saturday) scheduled repeats showing on Sky Guide are

Sunday 06:00 (ES 2)

In the UK Sky Guide and the British Eurosport TV guide are listing the Italian GP at 10:00 (ES 2) and 22:30 (ES 2). Might be worth keeping an eye out to see if they change that to the Togliatti meeting.

Monday 08:30 (ES 2) 10:15 (ES 1) 15:30 (ES 2). (British Eurosport tv guide only has a listing at 09:45!)

Quick question - is the final round of this European Championship on a Saturday or Sunday?

Sunday 29th September.

Hopefully they will just promote Belousov. He is pretty handy round there.

Belousov replaces Ulamek.

Not doubting your word, i've seen a couple or so references elsewhere that this will be the case, but do you have a (official) source or media link for that.

Thanks for the card Paul. :t: . With Tuesday's "virus protection " blip sorted, i can't wait for this, at my favourite venue. . I'll start the ball rolling by forecasting a Russian 1-2-3. Emil, Artem, Grigory. With my brilliant forecasting skills, that does for those 3, leaving the field wide open. A sell-out crowd and ,i'm sure, some fantastic in-field entertainment lined up, the Mega Lada babes somewhere in the mix this should be great stuff. Regards. Alan.

I know you are better at this stuff than this old fart. The virus protection is SOPHOS, not sure if you have it in the UK. Anyway, it can be too good, as it was Tuesday. The guy who came said it was "very aggressive at times"- just like Nicki Pedersen.. Anyway i now can switch it off, which really is only for the speedway, and then put it back on. Apropos of the most important issue facing Manchester: will the Wayner go or stay???.Moyes and the world awaits. All the best mate. Alan .

I too favour a Russian clean sweep. But I think it will be Artem, Emil and Greg.

Hopefully there will be some insane on field entertainment. I don't think they will ever beat the strongmen bending steel bars and lifting cars as that was pretty surreal. The ninjas were pretty good too. Hopefully the Mega lada start girls will feature as they are something else :)

You could be right, since Artem is "the master" of Togliatti. ). Forecasting is fun, because none of us know! Belousov, Karpov and particularly 'Gadzooks" Puodzuks and Roman, could be real spoilers and make it an Eastern European sweep.( he dreams! ). As regards the entertainment, i hope UK promoters watch with keen interest whatever we get.Guarantee it will be spectacular. Join you later from a sunny USA. Alan..
