European Championships 2013 - Rzeszow Final 4 Live On Eurosport

Will Tai be in the next one? Thought I heard in commentary that he was the wildcard for this one.

He's in them all he was given a Wild Card for the SERIES, not a meeting Wild Card.

Scott did ok at commentary (Deadpan is ok & not false hype)

Steve & Scott get a massive thumbs up from me. They agreed to differ on some pronunciation rather than making up their own and didn't hype every race up way beyond belief. It was heat 17 before I realized that I'd still got the sound on. The words "I'll hand you over to our commentary team" normally have me reaching for the mute button !!!

Sportowefakte reporting 5.2 million across Europe viewed the meeting.

Do we know how that compares with say the last GP or SWC?

Nice viewing figure for a new competition. It certainly deliverd the goods and was a damn good meeting.

The Eurosport Best Pairs got just under 4 million.

I did post this on a Swindon match thread-Woffinden, lindgren and Ulamek have Elite league matches on Friday 9th-day before Togliatti.I don`t know what time 19.00 cet is in Russia(edit just found out they are +2 hrs on CET plus 3 hrs on uk time) but presumably they are riding for their clubs and able to make it to Togliatti-However Hans Andersen has apparently told Swindon also who are riding Friday that he isn`t available-no Facility for European Championships.

From this brilliant stadium they will all be good. :t: An embarrassment of riches. Plus the Mega-Lada start-line dollies. Sometimes life is good!! Regards. Alan.

I could be wrong but i'm sure i read somewhere the other week - very likely the Speedway Star - that Tai was having a plane put on for him and a couple of others may well get to hitch a ride on it too.

But do they use the local girls or do SEC hire their own?

Goodness me we so going to see you on TV aren't we Alan? picketing outside the stadium calling the SEC girls scabs. Then when the SEC refuse to buckle you going to do an Emily Davison suffragette style lay down in front of the starting gate ;)

" But do they use the local girls or do SEC hire their own? " Those Mega-Lada girls are really good- and "oomphy" as well. We'll find out on the day. :t: I'd hire them any time!!! I think you are in for a very pleasant surprise Paul when you get your first glimpse of this Togliatti set-up. I guarantee that there will be a lot asking "Why can't we have a GP here ?" It really is that good. All the best. Alan.

It puts every track in Britain to shame. that's for sure.

Really looking forward to that meeting next week.

And GP wise compare it to the crapheap a GP is being run at tomorrow and some of the dumps recent GPs have been held at.

Of course charging the earth will probably empty the stadium but we see that in Poland too.

But as long as Artem Laguta is involved they will probably turn up in decent numbers.
