phillipsr
Think Ellis will be number 1 by the end of the year and that will be impressive with Perry in the team but that lad is going to be very very special
junior fan
There's a " back the Brits" campaign on twitter to encourage young Brit riders. If I'm right ( although I could certainly be wrong) are 6 of the islands 7 British ? And with an average age of less than 20 can any other club beat them on that front ? Back to sleep Johny, the NL is british only. Junior

norwichkev
So Cameron heeps is British? Probably as British as Byron Bekker Although that probably won't suit your point as the BSPA sanctioned both would suggest they must be. heathhen1
Good luck to the IOW Heathens for 2013, you have assembled a good team for 2013, put Byron in as your Captain, great with the supporters also, Tom Pom No1, lovely to see him miss the gate, cuz when he does, dont turn away for 1 moment, Daryll when he has his bikes right he can live with the best, added to Ben, Danny boy, Adam and Brendon, if you stay injury free, cant see any anyone beating you on The Island, and the management there have to be applauded for putting this Team together. Look forward to seeing you guys up here in the Midlands, what about an early season Challenge, with you guys ?. putting a team together you mean recognizing great talent and catching what dudley stupidly got rid of lol

Bryn
It would appear that the Isle of Wight's legendary start marshal "Five Laps Les" has spread his influence worldwide as we've just had a five lapper out there at Kurri Kurri in Oz!!! Meanwhile back on the island, a lot of work has been put into fully refurbishing the Premier Lounge and bar on the first floor of the clubhouse. Chances to see and hear for yourself exactly what has gone on there during the close season come firstly when the club hold their AGM on Saturday Feb 2nd and then at a Quiz Night being staged by the Supporters Club on Feb 12th. All the news etc on the club's official website at: http://www.iowislanders.co

Eagle727
I'm trying to set up a group to help sponsor Brandon Freemantle at £5 per person per month for the 7 months of the season from April to October. If any of you Islander fans would like to join us take a look at the "Where Eagles Dare To Fly" website or let me know by replying to this message. Even at just £5 per month, if we get enough of us involved it could be a big help to a young British rider just starting out on his career. Many thanks. Trackside
team comes together today( P & P) as a unit for the first time this season. Think's they will be there come the play offs.
greyhoundp
team comes together today( P & P) as a unit for the first time this season. Think's they will be there come the play offs. Not withstanding any injuries, this team is nailed on for the play offs, Tom Pom is as good a No1 as any, Byron and Ben are solid 7/8 pointers with odd double figures, Darryl if he has decent equipment can be fast, and in Adam Ellis, you have a real trump card at reserve, should be unbeaten at home, with 2/3 away wins will see you through to the play offs. good luck to my 2nd favourite Team, and that was even before you signed a few ex Heathens. Islander15
Looks like captain Bekker will need to be replaced. He's suffering from knee ligament damage he felt at press and practice and needs an operation and a lengthy lay-off to cure it. Islanders have 8.29 to play with but I just can't see anyone out there on that figure! We missed a trick not getting Branford. greyhoundp
Have to say, you were certainly slow out of the blocks regarding Branford, Jake Anderson is back in town riding for Plymouth, and Im sure he has the nesecary credentials to ride for you, if he wants to do NL as well as PL. Cant think of another rider who fits the bill, and its an hammer blow for you so early in the season.

Islander15
he rode for Brum and Dudley at the same time But Aussies were allowed in the NL then (think it was the CL at that time actually). Is Dyer 'British'?
